They just measure physical responses I believe. If you're an anxious person then you could 'fail' even though you're telling the truth. Can't believe that people believe that they are accurate. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to learn to evade detection.

what.. everybody knows lie detectors dont work properly, how is this something new?

Yep, same here. ITV and Channel 4 are both single handedly responsible for polluting UK television with reality TV garbage over the years. That Love Island show that seems to be everywhere right now, is just like Big Brother all over again.

I still dont quite understand why Jeremy Kyle is cancelled and Love Island isn't, considering the latter has had after-show suicides too.

It was also no surprise to me to see that Wahl is loving the show this year.

Don't think I will venture onto the Movie & TV section of the site until its finished.

I don’t get it either. Even when I’m not in work, I have better things to do than watch tv 90% of the time.

C4 also have that show where people marry having never met, matched by some program.

Total sheeite, watched by women who enjoy wasting their lives filling it with this rubbish.

Nobody i've seen entertains that ullcrap reality show, we proper nerds on there, and we... oh wait, Superb wants me to correct that last statement.
I am a nerd that likes talking about the proper stuff... i suppose the only thing that's close to this Love Island stuff, is the Superhero film/tv shows. They everywhere.
But i'd rather talk about a fictional muscular dude in spandex than a real muscular dude in spandex!

When I ask her why she watches it, she compares it to the 'crap' I watch on TV, football.

I think that with Love Island the suicides have come as a result of the 'fame' that has come with appearing on the show. With the Jeremy Kyle show these is a very strong suspicion that the suicide is as a direct result of the show, in that the bloke was innocent of what he was accused of, yet the lie detector said he was guilty and he killed himself as a result.

I am no fan of Love Island, but I can see why it is deemed that the Jeremy Kyle show was more responsible that Love Island.

Horrible, horrible show. And Jeremy Kyle himself is an utterly detestable cūnt. Cant stand him.
