At least he's not for the development squad which makes a change,

I’m not going to say: “good signing” or anything like that as I’ve never seen him play. If he is any good then it does seem like a sensible signing as cover for Ricardo. Apparently he can also play left back and started off in midfield.

I’m not sure what this means for Amartey when he’s fit again as he’s another who falls into that ‘versatile’ bracket. If this guy is any good then it may be that DA’s days are limited just as he was starting to improve.

I really like this type of signing. Low risk, high potential.

Can be a great understudy to fuchs, Chilwell and Pereira depending on who stays until he’s ready so we don’t have to rush him in.

If he was to be the immediate replacement for one of the above I’d be more concerned.

So, just so I get this right who are we going to say is responsible for this signing if it turns out to be good/bad? Before we had some clear criteria:

Good player - obviously a Walsh signing
Bad Player - Rudkin (or manager) signing

Who are we going to blame now if it goes wrong? Congerton?

Could I lead and suggest:
If he’s good - obviously a Rodgers signing
If he’s bad - obviously a Congerton signing
If we pay too much - Rudkin’s fault
If we get a bargain - Rodgers responsible
If the fax machine breaks - Rudkin’s fault

I think it’s important we establish this criteria in advance.

Like Collins John and John Collins, I feel there must be a Justin James out there plying his footballing trade somewhere.

Good signing - Walsh scouted him 4 years ago. Congerton has access to his black book of top talent.

Bad signing - Congerton stole Macias black book of talent which also list such prestigious names as Luis Hernandez, Benalouane and Rob Robert Zieler

Was it Luis Hernandez? I can’t even remember the name of that useless Spanish centre back we signed for about 3 months

Then there was the tragedy that is Bartosz Karplonker or whatever his name is

Supposedly Utd have pulled out of the chase for Maguire due to our demands, obviously they don't want him enough.

It was Luis Hernandez. Quite strong on FIFA. We were quite excited when his long throw led to our first Champions League goal in Brugge. By the time he was asking for his opponent’s shirt while defending a corner in Porto, that enthusiasm had long since gone.

Reports tonight that Ricardo could be on his way to Juventus, bit of a shocker if true.

Never heard of him. I trust our scouts when it comes to finding good young players though. Looking forward to seeing him play.

Another one came in under the radar,George Hirst ( Son of David ) joined from Sheff Wed ( via Oh Leuvren ) so no compensation to pay.
