Spurs had a mare of a season last year, still managed to finish in a CL spot and reach the CL final, despite not spending a penny, having no home ground for most of the season, and having their worse injury crisis in living memory.
This season will be playing at home for the whole season for the first time in three seasons, will spend big, and hopefully will have a lot less injuries. A very powerful recipe for success.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wasn’t your record at Wembley last season statistically better than your record at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
Not that too much can be read into that; but equally there’s little historical evidence to suggest that a new stadium will see your team deliver better results.
Liverpool have been very fortunate on the fitness front. The bulk of their side have basically had at least 2 back-to-back 50-60 game seasons without any noticeable rotation.
To add to this, their African and South American players are currently halfway across the world on international tourneys.
Surely some degree of burnout has to happen sooner or later.

New stadium but in the same place as WHL and there we went WHOLE season unbeaten at home
We got derailed a bit because having to move out and play from Wembley. I would like to see how Liverpool would cope if they didn't play at Anfield for home games
Evidence suggest they got most of the important wins at Anfields, so wouldn't be shocked if they ever played whole season away from Anfield, Liverpool would struggle
I think this over-celebration and over-confidence of winning the title are not well perceived it is safe to say by most fans. Border on arrogance and they ultimate result is that many wish this article would come back to bite GB and Liverpool fans
GB, betting £500 on Liverpool title win is as chidlish as this article
There are rumours that Salah is looking to move and it may not happen this season, but who knows?
Things like this can derail any side and though you had your best season last year no denying that, it wasn't enough to win the title
I can see United and City ramping up their efforts to sign some great players.
There's already been rumours of links to United with players like Tielemans, De Ligt, Griezmann, Cavanni, Isco etc..
They get 3/4 of those players, they'll have a better chance of challenging for the title than your side, bear in mind you spent £500 on a bet?
I am not saying they would get these players but this is showing how silly is your bet

£500 on Liverpool to win the league?
What’s the odds?
And if you can afford to lose it without risking anything then its as good a bet as any.

Two horse race
Liverpool are never winning the title.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it was a very close two horse race last season. Since then City have lost their captain, their side is ageing and we have the most settled team in the league. Not exactly a ridiculous suggestion that we will at least push them close again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very much an ageing squad, with Kompany being replaced and Silva giving way to the 24 year old Bernardo and teenager Foden. Aguero is 31 but still the best in the PL. Keep dreaming.

I wondered about that comment when I read it.
City’s squad is collectively among the youngest of the Premier League. One or two older heads in the squad isn’t any problem all said and done.
The average age includes Bravo Ripley and we all know how likely he is to feature. The rest of the squad bar little Fern and Kun are young, assuming we accept that Merlin will play less.
Stupid comment saying it is an ageing squad. Wishful thinking from the Pool supporter.
I believe Rodri's arrival should be announced tomorrow.
I assume je's in his mid 40's.

Some of your key players are ageing, that can't be denied. Not the case with us.
Is this ageing thing only limited to City players? Both squads will age by a year. Given that city couldn’t field their best player for a full season I can’t imagine the ageing of Silva will mean much if KDB is fit. Fernandinho’s replacement has been signed. An old Kun is still the best striker in the league.
Kompany is more a loss off the pitch than on it. Can’t think of any other old players.
Fernadinho - Rodri
Silva - Foden
Aguero - Jesus
The only question as it stands is who partners Laporte at the back.
