The story was reported in the Scottish Sun. He has a very good work rate as the OP said but he isn't anywhere near the quality for us on the ball.

Following the same path as other signings, which is probably where the rumour came from!!

Don't know how much truth there is to this. But the guys we're being linked with in CM (thinking about Longstaff too here) seem to be guys who will run and work extremely hard for their team, whilst also having the ability to contribute something in the final third. I'd welcome such a signing

To be honest, it would be ridiculous to pay even half that for him. 24, never had top flight experience, would be a squad member, and the rumours came out of nowhere.

I'm not saying he isn't 'good' or 'capable' on the ball. I'm just saying he isn't of the quality we need if we want to be challenging for the title again.
