Slayer and Megadeth don’t use backing tracks.

Just sayin’.

Yes but they made the mistake of learning to play instruments and writing songs so they are not going to be invited to play at a festival frequented by the general public. The general public are the problem. They need to be improved or destroyed. Can we not just put a chinese takeaway on a string and then tow the chinese takeaway off a cliff and that would be that?

Johnny Marr singing Smiths songs was a disgrace, obviously he only does it to get the crowd on side because his solo stuff is rubbish. Morrissey has never made any secret that he would happily get the Smiths back on stage if Marr was agreeable and there was his chance.

I thought the Cure was a strange choice to headline the Sunday night, should of been the Chemical Brothers.

Unfortunately where that all falls flat on its face is Morrissey being an absolute walloper of the highest order.

He's always been a very odd man but if you are doing Smiths songs he should be singing them. Could of been a show stopper, a real missed opportunity.

Fwck that standing in a horrible field queuing for sheite covered portaloos and listening to some dirge while trying to make out what looks like an album sleeve down at the bottom of your garden.

My mate used to stay near Glastonbury and went to it loads of times. He said he got up to and saw all kinds of mental schite.

The worst one he told me was when portaloos became mandatory at festivals a toilet used to be as and where you found it, and one particular site got used a lot and was just a quagmire of all kinds of human nastiness as you can imagine.

He once saw two lassies so utterly out their faces they were crawling about and falling about right in the middle of it, not having one bit of a clue wtf they were doing.

You can only imagine and fear the worst for them.

Stupid cows.

You’re not far wrong you two

Did go to see Metallica at the Etihad last week mind

Superb concert.

Always good to catch a good gig.

Me and the Mrs try to go to whatever we can but Glasgow's gigs have been pretty schite for quite a while, plus just been too bloody busy playing my own gigs amongst other things.

Need to get round to watching Some Kind of Monster, the Metallica documentary. It's meant to be very funny and cringeworthy.

1st band I went to see.

Was 14 I think, black album tour maybe 92.

Was great. 2nd gig was megadeth, I'm a fan of both and I need to see that documentary too. Don't know how if managed to miss it.

SPR
Saw them first in 1989. Have seen them now in 11 countries including Ireland which will become 12 in August when I see them in Warsaw.
The documentary is worth a watch. See mustaine has revealed he’s battling throat cancer?

posted on 1/7/19

Yeah saw that. Apparently it's quite common risk for metal signers.

Don't know if you like avenged sevenfold but their change in musical direction when they released city of evil was because the singer had a throat cancer scare. Was told he would get it unless he changed Vocals. Turned out he could actually sing.

Absolutely loved that album, some crazy stories from that band too

The Glastonbury organisers must be laughing all the way to the bank this year. That was an Asda line up on a Waitrose ticket price
