"A transfer request necessarily mean acuty will roll over whd sell"

No one said it did.

They were simply answering your question 'how does that change anything'.

It’s not just bonuses it’s the remaining contract which essentially could be millions. If a club accepts a bit but the player hasn’t asked to leave the club would have to strike a deal regarding his remaining contract.

Ie

If Leicester have a total amount in mind that they want, £70m which Utd bid but maguire is owed £6m then they aren’t getting the £70m.

If City bid £70m and Maguire is happy to hand a request in then he gets nothing and they get the full £70m.

If Leicester just don’t want to sell then I doubt this whole situation would’ve gone from we’ll only pay £60m to Utd bidding £70m and so on!

OK

Yes it means the club dotbnhave to pay the player any bonuses owed, but it doesnt necessarily impact the clubs willingness to sell

Of course, but it does change things.

An unhappy player represents a different problem for the club who own him.

But we have no reason to believe he is unhappy

Again, no one claimed he was.

There's not really any debate, is there?

He asked a question and received an answer.

Not even Winston would sustain a "debate" with RDD.

If he did hand in a transfer request then it would suggest he is unhappy.

Exactly, Winston.

Only problem is that he doesn't accept any answer that doesn't perfectly fit with his perceptions of reality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My question was how would Maguire handing in a transfer request make Leicester any more likely to sell.

The answer I got was Maguite foregoing any monies owed by Leicester might make the difference.

I dount it would though. Its not ike City or United cant be pushed another £5 or 6m if that's what Leicester want from the deal.

"My question was how would Maguire handing in a transfer request make Leicester any more likely to sell. "

Well actually, your question was how does it change anything.

People explained that for you.
