How long before new WHL establishes that “fundamental link”, after all it’s a “completely different stadium with no history or sentimental feel”

Fields it started off ok and it was nice to have bigger crowds but towards the end the fans had enough so it become quite toxic and detrimental to the atmosphere. It's the clubs thought really for the stadium delays and thus the fans getting more p*$$*d off.

I did wonder how much was the actual stadium and how much was being narked off with the club’s handling of the new stadium?

Elements of both but in the main it was the clubs handling of the new stadium debacle that pushed everyone over the edge.
The good news is it's all in the past and we have a lovely new stadium.
That said I hope you keep Anfield, I love traditional old grounds and would be a shame if they all disappear.

This so true and good luck in it, just not too much
Agree about older stadiums. My walk to Anfield from the bus is the same walk my Dad, Grandad, Uncles have all done. I was always in two minds about moving, compounded by them two clowns. Plus new stadiums are hit and miss for atmosphere IMO.

Ah the magic of football and family with long traditions!

Good. I stopped watching when a zombie beat a tiger in a race.
