Far better game than the CL final, absoultely.
Was exciting it defo felt like something could happen at any moment.
The second usa goal was quality. Very harsh var ruling for the disallowed england goal
I just find it annoying. I hate the way English women football players are now being compared to some of the greats from the men’s game because the BBC are desperate to be seen as the face of gender equality
You’ve now got the English women’s GK being talked about in the same breath as Shilton. “The last time England got to a World Cup semi final was 2018 against Croatia”. No it facking wasn’t. That was the men’s World Cup, why try and make out it’s the same competition?
I enjoyed watching the game but the quality is decades behind the men’s game and you would expect it to be at this stage. Let’s just call it as it is

Cl final was drab but the women's game last night was anything but a high quality technical game
Fraught with silly school boy errors like US first goal and open defenses.
VAR ruling out a goal because a player was offside by boot lace is the MOST ridiculous decision ever?
VAR was brought in to help the ref but being used by refs as a cop out and we should always give benefit of the doubt to the attacker but where was that last night?
Even the pen given to England had infringement all over it during the taking of it?
As for watching quality, we know what the mancs were watching

In what way? She was offside.

It looked extremely tight to me.

this is a weak attempt, you must try harder
someone at work today said England were cheated, I asked how they said VAR, I said well it was the right decision, they said yeah well it takes away the joy of the game........ ok so not cheated then
btw the tea celebration really wound people up

It was a good one. I was really hoping that someone scored the equaliser and did an "eating a burger" celebration.

or a shooting someone celebration

Was just so close like she was basically level and really did well to hold the line.
She was the tiniest fraction off side of course but i just think that's very harsh. It is the rule though so nothing can be done.
Very enjoyable game, to be fair. Better team won, no question. Ref seemed pretty lost throughout though, taking an eternity on the VAR stuff, and the eventual red card.
Pretty decent tournament overall really, from the bits and pieces I’ve watched. For England there were remarkable parallels with Southgate’s mob last summer ... never off the news, very favourable draw up to the semis (glossed over), papped out by the first real test, daft waistcoat, probably a share of the golden boot for the number 9 ...

I think you might mean unlucky not harsh, harsh would be that some type of incorrect decision was made

Without VAR, England’s missed pen would never have been awarded, so can’t really have it both ways. Even with VAR, they had to look at it about 20 times before awarding the pen ... clear and obvious mistake?!
