Whats the point taking him? Leave him out and sell him. We can then move on!

If he genuinely wants out then the club should let him go. I don’t see any advantage in keeping a want away player. Especially one as inconsistent as him.

Sadly we have idiots like Woodward running the show, so the most likely outcome will be no one is stupid enough to pay 130m, and Ed will probably try and give him a huge pay raise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think he will definitely be leaving. A deal will be reached. And we need to take Madrid to the cleaners. They are like a kid in a sweet shop. They don't like not getting their targets so they will end up paying us handsomely.

He's not the right character to stay against his wishes. He down tools in games already as it is. God know how much worse he can get.

80m + Isco would be a great deal.

£80m plus Isco

Isco is a better player, how you'd get money plus Isco is beyond me but £80m. Feck me
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's being touted today you plank. Few sources saying they have offered about 75m euros plus either Bale or Isco.

Might not be true but I didn't make it up

TOOR being his usual special needs self.

i personally rate pogba as a footballer but he is not the type you build a team around and that is what it takes imo to see the best of pogba

i don't however think we should make it easy for him to leave. It might sound childish but levy did this for years.

In theory we should be able to build a more balanced midfield if Pogba goes. But we’ll have to see how that’s put into practice. People are too quick to assume our midfield will get better when it can actually get worse.

You really are a plank TOOL.

Why don't you go and play on your own board.

It is all well and good saying let's get rid. That would be nice.

The problem is that no one is really that interested in him and rightly so. We would be lucky if we got back what we paid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The other problem is that he will absolutely need replacing - and replacing well. Even if we write him off as a total flop, losing him will demonstrably weaken us. Same with Herrera: we need quality anyway, so the more good players we lose, the harder the rebuild gets.

My first-choice midfield would have had both Pogba and Herrera in, for all their faults or shortcomings. Perhaps we can replace one from within but not both. Sell Pogba and we need some real star quality in there and I just don’t know who can provide it that we can realistically get.

That said, I’d still cash in on Pogba. He simply doesn’t have the mentality we need.

I see the Souness haters are changing their minds on the fraud that is Pogba

posted on 6/7/19

The reality is Raiola wants another massive payoff, he'll get the biggest possible amount by Pogba moving club rather than staying.

From Pogba's POV who knows, he got a lot of stick while being by far Uniteds best player and then got even more stick when his form was bad. Given the fact OGS is manager and United are signing for the very distant future I'd be looking to move if my ambitions were to complete for the top trophies (while at peak age) which is likely what Pogba could do at several other clubs

posted on 6/7/19

The issue with Pogba is that he goes through patches of form, both good and bad. When he is good he is our best player. When he is bad, the rest of the team have to carry him. We're not good enough to carry passengers right now.

I don't think he's a player you can build around, nor is he a player that is defensively switched on. Players run past him poor at defending corners despite being one of our taller players.

We need to get players who can balance out our midfield more. It's a shame Ndombele and Tielemans are off to to other teams as I think those two with Fernandes would be a great midfield.

As a lot of people on the forum know, I was keen to see what he could do with Mourinho gone.

But I've given up on him.

He just isn't the matchwinner that he needs to be at that price and with that ego.

Let's move on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Flop?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If he goes now, yes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------

What’s funny?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The notion that you cannot be a flop until you leave.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I never actually said that, TOOR.

There are plenty of players who haven’t left a club but are clearly a flop and will never get back in the team.

At the moment, Pogba is a guaranteed starter and given all the changes at the club, could still come good. I don’t think he will but it’s too early to label a player like that a flop.

There is a whole history of players who started poorly at United but turned out to be a great player for the club. The idea that those players were ‘flops’ is nonsense.

You may not agree, which is fine, but there’s nothing illogical with this view.
