More haircut than talent.

He’d be an incredible signing for any PL team.
Thing is, I’m sure he’d never come.
Mind you, if Barca don’t want him, Real can’t afford him and he wants to leave PSG, where else is there to go? Bayern? Can’t see him there.

Go on Ed, spunk the rest of your budget on him

He's a excellent player in the perfect conditions. He'd be terrible signing for us as we are very far from perfect conditions right now.

Nothing like Cantona imo
Cantona improved everyone around him Neymar plays for himself. Excellent player individually but not suited to the Premier league at all. He would be on the floor every 5 mins plus he seems to get injured every season going into the latter part of the season

Not for me. Brilliantly talented footballer, but doesn't fit in with what we are trying to do here. Perhaps more of a missing piece than someone to build a team around.

His assist stats dont backup anything you say. I get it that his body language and attitude of the field is not what some fans like but we should only be interested in what he does on it.

Watch Neymar at Barca, he was anything but selfish.
I dont think now is the time to buy him but I think in a season or 2 he will be the exact type of footballer to raise the profile of an arsenal or man utd

This. He would also be horrible for Arsenal now as we need to fix the basics first like our defence. But once you have laid the foundation he becomes the piece that elevates you to greater heights.

If he remains at PSG, sulks a bit for a year, reduces his wage demands to at least 350k and they sell him for 100m or less I would love it if our board takes a punt on him.

The guy is a street footballer, and is tough. A few emotional seasons doesnt change that.

How do assists back anything up. Pretty sheite stat anyway and I’m talking about making the players play better around him. Something Neymar doesn’t do imo. Very selfish player and although a great talent and I’d have him given the choice comparing him to Cantona is a bit bizarre

Isn't he valued at 200m and on 900k a week?

spot on... so many people are blinded by a perceived view of him to actually care to take note of what he actually does on the pitch. Sublime player who would greatly improve any PL team.

Until Neymar got that injury for Brazil in the 2014 World Cup, he had been the best international footballer in the world for a number of years since he was like 19. I remember a period Messi had a long-term injury for Barca and Neymar held the team together in the title race with his best period of form for Barca (and probably his career). His move to PSG was always a circus, but to claim he "only plays for himself" isn't backed up by anything really. Cantona probably did more selfish things for club and country than Neymar has ever done.

The Cantona comparison was to show that not every player you sign must fit the type most people are looking at (grafting, hardworking etc) and the timing Aswell which Fergie got spot on. How signing Neymar can elevate 2 clubs that will fight for CL spots but won’t do more than that.

In terms of Talent Neymar is streets ahead of Cantona.

It’s funny how until last season, Liverpool were barely a Top 4 side missing out on Champions League even in Klopps first full season.

The signing of van Dijk and Becker changed that.
Both Arsenal and United aren’t as far off the top as some people thing. Both managers need time. Klopp got 3 years, poch in his 5th year without a trophy mind

Thats 310 appearances and 288 goals + assists adding up the list. Nearly 1 per game and thats at the ighest level. That is something worth adding to any team.

He's a freak

So many unbelievably good players are going to be forgotten about because messi and Ronaldo completely overshadowed them

that's the fanboys problem.
for people that love football there's a lot more than two great footballers in the world. messi and ronaldo are the most consistently great but there is so many players that can do what they do.

Got to be one of my most disliked players ever. Walking example of what was wrong with the bosman ruling and the absolute pinnacle of everything wrong with football today.

Saddens me to see so many would want to sign such a shameless cheater. As if you wanna take your kid to a game and teach him to cheer for someone who does that crap to win. OK so most players will try it on a bit but Neymar is shocking. It's not behaviour he's going to stop. So even if we could afford him I wouldn't want him at AFC and I hope no PL club can afford or wants him either. No wish to see the little caaant on motd every week.

That back injury of 2014 was poetic justice. During the 2010 WC he massively faked a back injury to get another player sent off. Irish one if I remember correctly. I was laughing my ass off shouting "Good, that's what you get!" when he then got a career threatening back injury 2014. Absolutely astonished me that after fearing never walking properly again let alone playing. He actually came back and faked away still. Little caaant doesn't even have the character to be grateful he can still walk and play and never tempt fate again. <rofl)
