I’d be curious about the viewing figures.

I don’t think even women want to watch women’s football.

Also, show, I’d like to take issue with the causal misogyny in this article title.

It’s possible some of them aren’t rug-munchers.

Some might simply be bisexual with a preference for females.

You can't leave that hanging Pointy. What is the viewpoint in the DMZ between men and women which you inhabit?

The BBC's overly chummy coverage has been worse than the games.

Couldn't tell you as I never watched a game of it.

Tried watching women's football in the past but I just find it's a bit too slow, the keepers are far too small, and the skill levels are generally poorer.

The American team have already pinged it about well so it's no surprise they tend to win everything.

Don’t get the nonsense spouted about women’s football.

Don’t like it then don’t watch it.

Clearly there’s a healthy appetite for it and nope it’s not for me, but it’s no threat to the game as watch and follow. It will grow significantly and with that will come the sponsorship and rewards. Just a matter of time. They’ll also improve but the biological differences make competition between the men’s game and the woman’s game impossible.

And they’ll be paid a lot more too once the money comes rolling in. It’s here now and it’s not going to disappear. Let them get on with it.

Childhood obesity levels are rocketing at an expedential rate.

Higher among girls than boys.

Anything that gets kids motivated to be more active is a good thing.

As Shows short film clip about Eriskay FC demonstrated yesterday.

It's The Beautiful Game and is open to everyone.

When you consider that the average gate in the girls English Prem is less than 1k the amount of attention the tournament got was scandalous.

If the product is good enough it will grow under its own steam without the BBC telling us that we must be crazy if we don't love it.

Is it as good as mens football?

No, but the SPL aint as good as many leagues and we still watch it so I've no issue with it, I do however find the coverage to be a bit patronizing and would prefer it got covered at a more proportionate level.

I mean BBC sport has been all over it for weeks, while having very little coverage of the Copa America or African Nations Cup....

Day Care Centres shutting.

Corporate thieves stealing billions.

Racism on the increase.

That's scandalous.

I don't really think there is any point in saying how does it compare to men's football the only question should be is it entertaining to watch in its own right.

Had they spent less time acting like cheerleaders for a sport that very few people watch the BBC would be able to give more coverage to your list of scandalous issues.
