Keane made a famous TV speech where he betrayed various players for not pulling their weight... Were any sparked out?

This is tripe ..... Keane played with Yorke, who was a comical fella who sometimes acted up.

Get over Keane as some demon ffs

Ji, where did you get Yorke from? I can't see any mention of him.

Keane played in an era that was coming to an end just before Love Island, Celebrity big brother, twitter, instagram and facebook ego's and self-absorbed vanity creeps and freaks which encompass the likes of Lingard and Pogba

Keane was the ultimate professional with his never say die attitude and full commitment to the cause.

The era before Roy Keane was the best in terms of full hard commitment and passion bordering on the very edge of blood curdling brutality.1980's and its very high levels of technical skills, incredible pace and almost no-holds barred type of football with the likes of Robson, Moses, Whitehurst, Souness, Mcmahon, Roberts, Harford, Noel Blake, Mark Dennis, Van Den Hauwe, Whiteside etc. There was no hiding place and everyone had to be committed to the battle

Keane was a piece of shiiiiit. Let’s not let the fact he was a great player and captain get in the way of that. It genuinely makes me laugh that an actual scuuumbag like Roy Keane can be lionalised and Paul Pogba demonised for their behaviour. They aren’t even comparable on the moral spectrum.

So was Cantona, so was Giggs, so was Best, so was Rooney. Quality and level of performance does not justify the level of outrage and criticism of a player’s behaviour on a moral level. The fact that people are more piiiiissssed off about the character of Lingard and Pogba than they ever have been about the aforementioned says everything you need to know about football fans.

You’d still rather have that piece of $hit over Pogba in your team though

Anyone who says otherwise is a flat out liar

posted on 8/7/19

That’s irrelevant to my point. I will just never take anyone seriously for criticising the behaviour of Lingard and Pogba while they lionise the behaviour of far bigger caaaants. Their ability and application is irrelevant in this argument.

....

Is anyone comparing them on a moral spectrum.

Peoples issue with Pogba is his utter lack of effort and his attitude. Well that is mine anyway.

Something you actually can't label at any of those players you listed. Even bad old George gave it his all on the pitch.

Yeah, maybe people should really talk about Pogba and Lingard for what they are, a pair of daft kids, not malicious or evil doers, just childish, esp in Lingard’s case

If they were anywhere near as effective on a football field as the likes of Keane they probably wouldn’t come in for so much flak, but the season United have just had, coupled with their silly nonsense, it just gets people’s backs up

But there’s a difference in how people portray their behaviour. And it’s embarrassing. People lose their shiiiiiit with these guys for dancing and using social media, but are quick to point to the fact that Keane didn’t end Haaaland’s career by pointing out the inaccuracy in it rather than the intent he actually had.

Yup, a pair of clowns, but nothing malicious as you say. Just a couple of fools being foolish harms no one except themselves and (debatably the clubs image)

For 2 lads that are apparently social media savvy they portray an incredible lack of self awareness with their use of it.
Bottom line is they are paid to perform when they put on the utd Jersey. After the disapponting season they and the club have just had they both , particularly lingard should have thought very hard about what they posted.

All those 'pieces of shiiiit' darren mentioned gave their all for the club despite their human flaws.

This cant pogba and his agent seem intent on dragging the club through the shiiit

Flicking through the morning rags and there seems to be a story coming out suggesting some players aren’t happy with Ole’s training methods during preseason.

To much running and not enough ball work.

I dont know if this has been said already. But for a piece of Promo for UTDs tour, how on earth does Edit, allow that shot to be selected and allowed in the compilation.
I have to question that decision. I’d like to think it was a rogue Editor.. Freelance most probably, who hates UTD. Thought they’d be clever, like dropping a brad pitt flash frame from ‘Fight Club’.
Now everyones like ‘ooh, did you see the priick, look what he did’
I dunno, we just dont need the east enders drama right now...

Ole is dead right to get them working hard in training. The lack of fitness and work ethic was shocking and pretty obvious throughout the team last season. Especially after Joses disastrous pre season last summer.

“Keane was the ultimate professional...”

Now I’ve read it all

He was a magnificent player - both technically and in his commitment on and off the field - but an “ultimate professional” does not intentionally injure another player, intimidate his teammates or ever - ever - disobey his manager’s instructions.
