What we sold him for makes no difference to his ability as a player.

By that logic clarke was twice the player for us then pontus was and we know that's balls

Pretty sure there were rumours of Southampton tabling a bid of £10-15million before.

He’s definitely good enough for the prem; Sol Bamba has just finished a season there.

Hope Brentford go down, not too sure what to make of that guy ! To leave a big club like Leeds United and go to Brentford ...he must have hated Bielsa & Co.

Pathetic fee. Club won’t spend anymore than that and I fear it will be a loan who replaces him and an inferior player.

Interesting point. At the start of last season, they’d be in most people’s top 3 players at the club.

Why are some people so bitter

Brentford are probably one of the most likeable clubs going. Alway play the right way, developed load sof great players lately, new stadium etc etc

And Pontus didn’t want to leave

I think what we do in the market to replace him is key to get s bit more positivity back in. But in the context of today's market I think it is an unbelievably poor value sale.

And it is the sort of deal you only do if you need cash despite everything that has been written about this.

I agree with LIW, think come January it will be over one way or another, romping the league or manager gone, Gary Cahill anyone ?

I could see Brentford selling for a profit next summer. If he has a good season or even half a season, PL clubs will be watching him.

And how sad will this transfer be if Bielsa is gone before the end of the season...

I could easily see there been a release fee in the deal.
