How they seriously expect a female agent to keep a secret is genuinely beyond me.

Bond films are pash these days anyway, no way you would be allowed a midget called nick-nack or a burd called good rider, all pc schite and ripping off the Bourne films.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah the Avengers have the market sewn up now, 007 is history, now it definitely is over. So will she be called Janine Bond or how does it work?

This announcement has triggered a lot of people. I think it's a smart move to reinvigorate a dying franchise.

That’s not necessarily a good thing.
Outrage doesn’t sell cinema tickets, which are their bottom line.
The Bond movies are absolutely what cinema is all about. They are fantastic, pure unadulerated escapism.
I doubt they will ever find another Connery.

It does however potentially appeal to 50% of the potential cinemagoing audience by establishing strong female characters to face off against what has traditionally been a boarish character. I don't think anyone is going to claim that the core audience for a Bond film is women?

Sean Connery is a fooking dug-schite actor btw, loved in this country just because he is Scottish.
He is honking in every film he is in apart from 'The Name of the Rose'
Bond is hardly acting, despite the Oscar (fooking pity vote) he is schit in 'The Untouchables' a creepy auld perv in 'Entrapment' ogling a lassie young enough to be his grand daughter.
Rising Sun, Highlander, Highlander 2, Medicine Man, The Rock, the list goes on and on, he was no bad in 'The Hill' I suppose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I liked him in Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Zach's favourite movie apparently.
I have to disagree. He’s not a fantastic actor but he comes from a generation when good actors were fewer and further apart. Everyone working in acting nowadays will have their coach and their method and their theory. Connery came from a time when this was less likely to be the case - I mean it did also produce some seminal actors as we’d understand them, just far fewer. He’d have just given it a go.
What he did have on-screen was something you can’t learn: charisma. The camera loved him.
It’s not enough to save a Shiite script or director but in a good movie, he shone.
I’m watching a lot of John Wayne moves on Primae arm. He’s not a great actor by contemporary standards, but he owns every scene he’s in.

I don’t think changing the gender of the main character is going to significantly change ticket sales.
Maybe in the longer term but I don’t believe the studio are thinking that far ahead,
Which is why I’m a business billionaire, obviously.

Pointy he is fooking murder, have you seen 'The Avengers' or 'Meteor' he is utter dug schit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd put that down to the movies rather than the actors in them, but fair enough. Opinions are always going to vary and the only objective truth that we have is that Rangers definitely died.
