An owner that cares? An option for safe standing? Champions League football? A sense of belonging? They just want to be us now.

They’ve spent €300m net the last 5 years - surpassed only by City & Utd, they have a wage bill that is approx 60% of turnover and one of the biggest and newest stadiums in the PL. There has been plenty of investment at Arsenal. What they’re basically saying is, we wasted money on some crap players, we’re not as good as we used to be and other clubs have caught us up, the atmos at the ground is crap (always has been) and we’re gonna blame it all on Kroenke because he doesn’t come to games and, yes, fair enough he is also a massivecunt.

Bad management definitely got us to where we are.

Not sure about other Arsenal fans but the main issue I have with the Kroenke's is that Arsenal is nothing but financial leverage to them. Plus as a person Stan the billionaire who profits from government subsidies to Walmart and loves shooting endangered species in his spare time is truly, truly vile (I'm not sure about the others but that's more because I know nothing about them, no doubt they'll be similar).

A football club is a huge part of supporters lives and it being run as nothing more than a cash/leverage cow for a billionaire yank is sickening, that's regardless of whether we're successful or not.

Personally I have no problem with him not putting his own cash in though, with good management we don't need that to at least compete in the tier below City and with great management a club with our revenue could even be right up there. Our problem is awful management, we have no one to blame but the people in our own club (and those who left of course). The owners played a part for letting it get this far as well, it's pure apathy provided they can extract funds and leverage off the club.

What, specifically, do Arsenal fans hope to achieve with this?

For Kroenke to stop being a caannnttt
Arsenal are just one of a number of business interests
You cant get rid of him
You can request him to show that he wants Arsenal to move forward but he does fack all coz he is a Spurs Legend

How is it that we are struggling just to do a simple
£25 million deal for Kieron Tierney.
Every other club would have said "ok here is 25 milion"
Not Arsenal though we in 2019 say "We will give you some up front plus the rest in installments".
No wonder Celtic said "FACK OFF".
Just embarrassing

While he is a thunderous caant who I'd not even pisz on if he was on fire Kroenke shouldn't really need to sugar daddy us the way City operate.

Our own awful management this past decade+ got us into this mess, until we properly fix the financial management issues there's no point chucking more money at it.

They’re trying to get 75,000 online signatures

If they get that and then team up with Turkish off AFTV firm that demonstrated at the kit launch

They’ll have 75,020

In all seriousness tho I heard on the radio that Stan is spending $4.5 billion on his nfl team so I can see why the fans are fecked off

The fans will shut up pretty quickly if he does what the club needs and invests much more heavily this summer than appears to be the plan.

Just do a Liverpool, identify the players you want and frontload it and go buy them and suffer next year in the window after the core of the squad has already been improved.

That's just it Ace, he can. If an piece I saw the other day was true. FFP is to be suspended for thee next 3 seasons. So he can't hide behind that anymore. Can spank 500 mil and suffer no penalty, if he chooses to. Well maybe not that much, not sure on the details on the suspension. Just know that it's to allow teams some spending room.

I haven’t read up on the new FFP stuff yet, but even if what you say is true - why should he have to? His business model is not that of a sugar daddy. Arsenal are part of a sports franchise portfolio. If Arsenal are generating enough profit to invest €300m net and 60% of turnover into playing staff the last five years, while also yielding a healthy profit for shareholders, he mus be doing something right. The fact they’ve regressed on the pitch is more down to those who run the club day to day for him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not so much to do with profit or shareholder dividends. The clubs value is rising as revenues are basically by default, due to nothing other than increases in TV rights and increased exposure of the league as a whole (it's not Arsenal management related).

He then leverages off the value of the club as an asset to purchase other assets. Of course while the club value increases he also has the option sell for a profit although he almost certainly won't considering he bought out the rest of the club at huge expense only last year.

He's not doing anything right really, just using a much loved football club to further his empire. He is a total caant but as you've said it's not like we've not spent loads anyway, it's just been spent very very badly. He takes some blame for that but certainly not all.

This is pretty lame. Ace is the one making the cogent argument here...

Look, a petition like this is borne out of frustration, which is why there aren't any concrete solutions put forward, just half-arsed suggestions to "Make it better please Mr Stan". The thing is, I don't expect him to plow his cash into the club, but the poor management of transfer policy, funds, scouting etc. has been around through various management structures and personnel. At some point the buck has to stop with the owner and his closest advisers. If he doesn't care enough or doesn't have time to do any hands-on running of the club (which is fair), then he must ensure that the right people are in place to do it and do it well.

But he'll probably never even hear about this silly little online petition anyway so whatever.
