Ridiculous article.
You don’t have a choice what your licence fee is spent on; look at all the great many obscure websites and radio stations the BBC runs, not to mention cack like Eastenders, Pansies on Ice etc. They have international correspondents all over the globe so not sure why you’re getting irate over one bloke doing an interview in Australia.
Also, of course Ole is gonna say he’s aiming for higher than 4th next season; what d’you expect the manager of Man Utd to day? Whether the man on the street thinks it’s achievable or not is irrelevant, the club has a profile to maintain and he has a job to preserve, he can’t be seen to be lowering standards and expectations at such a huge club.
Honestly, I do question the basic intellect of some people.

All good mate
Am changing jobs myself. I packed in the last one a month ago as could no longer work with idiots. Am going to another company Monday week.
Euro Disney for a week beginning of August then metallica in Poland on August 21st
My issues are two fold.
1. Why could Stone not just pick the phone up to Ole. Maybe my 82 year old dad would then not have had to start paying his licence fee again. Maybe could then spend on something worthwhile, like heating next winter. Cut Lineker and Shearer's pay, and we could all get a reduction. Ridiculous overspend on this worthless interview.
2. The hype ManU get. This is a club clinging to 6th, 34th best club in Europe, but get ( and earns from ) so much media minutes. Off course Ole is going to say better than 4th. I am not stupid as to manager flannel, but how about a similar ( and very costly ) interview with all the other PL managers wherever they are abroad pre season. Nah, not happening.
Have never seen a pre season interview rile a rival fan as much as this tbh.

I thought the two ridiculous things were in reference to this article, the two things being the OP and his spelling of the word "travelled".

was actually thinking the exact same thing earlier.
“So, Simon Stone, who apparently writes exclusively for ManU for the BBC, has traveled all the way to Perth, Australia, at the expense of the licence payer, to basically interview Ole“

FFS he’s still out there exclusively following Spurs. How much is this costing us licence fee payers?
