If we end up playing Chris Martin and relying on him to score more than 8 goals in 40 games, we are well and truly f##ked.
Other than that, I'm not too worried about next season. Cocu will get them gelling.

Target men only usually score around 8 goals a season. Chris Martin was exceptional for a couple of seasons being a prolific scorer. Note our collapse in 2015 came after he was injured. Even though we were scoring goals from Ince and Bent we were conceding plenty as well. That was because martin contributed far more than goals but some fans were too blind or prejudiced to notice.

More than most players Martin needs the team to play to his strengths and to have the right players around him. If balls are played down the channels or to his head he won’t contribute. I’ll be really interested to see if Cocu can get some use from him.

Yes it was Evans and Keogh at the back, Derby just made 10 changes. Defence been shaky, looked good going forward, Roos is a worry, doesn’t command his area at all, new keeper and CB required at the very least in my opinion.
