I remember reading about these years ago, the artwork for the covers were pretty special too. He might have to start writing again when his time at Newcastle doesn’t last that long.
I read the review posted on Reddit a few days ago. Brilliant.
I’ve heard of those novels
If I ever come into money, I’m going to retire and write a PhD on the later fiction of S. R. Bruce.

Netflix will be all over this soon.
There should be a podcast. The guys who did My Dad Wrote a P0rno would be perfect.
Why don't you just write GBP 200?
Apparently they are very bad lol. I found some passages on the internet and thought what the fack...this hardly makes sense at all.

I can’t believe that Bruce is back in the PL, when we’ve had a nice few years respite not having to look at his repulsive, hideously disfigured face. The bloke has got a boat that makes him look like he’s permanently pressed up against a window - and that’s before you add in that his head is like a facking leather armchair, like someone’s plonked a facking medicine ball on his shoulders. It’s like he’s trying to be ugly on purpose just to disgust everyone he meets. You think he’d have the common decency to wear a paper bag on his head when he does the MOTD interviews but no, he has the temerity and lack of self awareness to repulse the whole facking nation every Saturday night. Under certain regimes deviants like him would’ve been euthanised. In Victorian times he’d have been in the facking circus having rotten fruit thrown at him. But in this modern facking inclusive society decent people like me have to suffer looking at his appalling disfigurements. I’m fuming about this.

I wonder if there is a scholarly introduction by Gary Pallister?
