Nothing but the truth from Poch👍

Getting us to CL when the stadium is ready was his remit. So we’d win it, practically he’s achieved everything and would be leaving on a high, best way to leave. The next manager would be then pushing the club for a title. That’s even if that’s attainable with City being the best side in the league by a country mile.

I don't know if the comment about leaving after a CL win was a misinterpretation or if there was some truth to it, but I can't say I'd blame him much either way.

Poch will be at Spurs for life then, if he says he will leave when they win a trophy.

He obviously didn't want to leave because by leaving out Moura at the expense of a half fit Kane or hopelessly out of form Son we were never going to win it.

Do I have to cut the lemons or just place them in the room whole? Genuine question.

He would have. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Said earlier, he said just one of these Latin types that wears his heart on his sleeve and gets a bit emotional at times and believes in a bit of mumbo jumbo. Sometimes he’s too open and honest and it leaves him open to ridicule from cynics. You only learn about these things from behind the scenes docs or interviews, in his day to day and on matchdays he’s very composed, win or lose, 99% of the time he’s the consummate pro.

But I also think he has another side to him; a very steely, hard and driven personality. He obviously believes deeply in collective unity, the whole being greater than the sum of its parts and he has always been extremely ruthless in ensuring that the collectivity is never disrupted at Spurs. For all his quirks he is not a man to cross.

I have heard you are not a man to cross either Ace.

One point is a country mile is it?

Because if that’s the case Spurs finished a whole 26 country miles behind Liverpool last season!

Thing is, he said he may leave if Spurs won the CL before the 2nd leg against Ajax. I believe he thought he was safe as he didn't expect to progress beyond Ajax.

A few days later he allegedly said he may leave if Spurs lost to Liverpool.

Strange comment to make. Suggested he may leave whether Spurs won or lost.

I get the impression the quirky parts of his personality have shades of Bielsa and his emotional characteristics seem to be more rooted to Griffa’s influence on his passion for the game.

Poch's a smart bloke, and I doubt he'd be insisting on this line without an ulterior motive.

Even if he was simply responding to a journo's probing on the topic, he could easily just bat the question away saying those statements are a thing of the past and not something worth dwelling on now.
