I've seen all I need to see.

Every Liverpool fan either cannot read, or has severe learning difficulties.

“If white heart lane was undergoing some maintenance work then I'd agree but it's entirely new stadium that just happens to be in the same location.“

Does this mean only the part of of the new stadium that overlaps old WHL feels like home with the history etc? The rest feels like playing at Wembley.

I just asked my scouser co-worker his opinion. He has more than 6 brain cells you see

He goes to a few games a season when he can.

He would never call Goodison his home ground. No self respecting Liverpool fan wouldAnfield always is, and always will be Liverpool's home. Anyone who says any different is either a troll, or a part-time armchair fan

Also, Wembley never was Tottenham's home. A temporary stay (as if you went to a hotel for a few days, it's never home) - good analogy. Our actual home was under construction. Renting somewhere temporarily is not the same as being at home.

There we have it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with what you're saying doovde, but equally the advantages of playing at home are the crowd, better facilities and history.

2 of those you maintained by playing at Wembley and the history aspect you had lost by virtue of moving to a new stadium anyway. If white heart lane was undergoing some maintenance work then I'd agree but it's entirely new stadium that just happens to be in the same location.

Like Wembley, it probably won't feel like home for a while either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As someone who has traipsed across London to watch Spurs at Wembley in the last 2 seasons and held a Season Ticket at White Hart Lane, believe me, there is a massive difference. Huge.

From the routines of fans, to the walk to the ground to the pubs and places fans meet up to drink & sing, to having your seat which youve had for ages, with the familiar view you can see when you shut your eyes, to knowing the names of everyone sitting around you (even though you dont actually know these people) to your HT and FT rituals, it all factors in to the fan experience which translates in to atmosphere and on to the pitch.

The slog in and out of Wembley was a nightmare, the ground is not a club football ground, its too big, its a generic bowl. Sat with a mix of people half of which want you to shut up or sit down. Its was far inferior experience, difficult to get atmosphere going at times. Horrible experience overall.

At new WHL some things will take time to settle in but the whole new stadium bounce will carry us for a while and the atmosphere has been amazing because everyone is just so glad to be home....and what a home!!!

Nah I'm agreeing that they've lost the history due to it being a complete rebuild.

As it's the same location it will feel more like home due to the same travel, fan routes, matchday pub etc. but the history has ultimately gone in my opinion.

Did Spurs not have the advantage of the HOME dressing room @ Wembley?

If the home dressing room is an advantage at a neutral venue like Madrid then surely it is more so at your temporary home @ the national stadium in your home city.

Were Spurs playing in white at Wembley?
Were Spurs in the home or away dressing room?
Did Spurs have more fans in the stadium than their opponents?
Were Spurs listed first or second on the fixtures?
Were there more Spurs fans in the stadium than at old WHL for more than 50 years?

If the answer to all the above is yes then Spurs were at home.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer my question please:

Let's put it this way, if Anfield was closed for 3 months for expansion, and you had to play your home games at Goodison, would Goodison be deemed as your "home ground"?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That scenario would never happen and is nothing like your situation.

You are now trying to say that Spurs playing at Wembley is the equivalent to you playing @ the Emirates.

Also, Liverpool would NEVER be put into the situation where they had to stoop so low as to use Woodison. Would rather we use Prenton Park.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So here’s the thing.

Nobody f*cking cares.

By moving from old WHL to Wembley Spurs lost nothing.

Therefore they will gain nothing from moving from Wembley to new WHL.

This argument would make sense if moving from their home to Wembley had made them worse. It would mean you could expect to see improvement upon moving back to new WHL.

However, Spurs are the same old also ransand bottlers they've always been whether at Wembley, old WHL or new WHL.

If going into Wembley didn't make Spurs worse, his will moving away make them better?

Wembley gave Spurs their first ever CL final too.

Just personal opinion but I think it's different when you knock the whole thing down and start again.

Like if the Emirates was built in the exact same place as Highbury I don't think you could say the history was the same.
