Esta is pretty straightforward online and costs around £12.....lasts for 2 years .

Some were Rats others were quite serious.Much is the esta online? Might just try that first and if that gets approval carry on,or do I need to book up first then apply for the esta and give them the address we will be staying at?

Just pick a hotel..any fooking hotel and say that you are staying there. They are fookwits of the highest order. Once when we crossed the border by car and was asked where we were staying that night and replied, dunno, just going to get a motel or something Wrong! The guy relented and said the correct answer was with your auntie or give some address. So from that day on we always say we are staying at the Days Inn...(any city)

They never cross reference any booking and besides even if you did make a booking via an OTA (online travel agent) then you can usually cancel up to two days prior to the booking

My mate had a drug offence charge and done a few months, denied straight away so had to appeal in Dublin I’m sure it was. 9 hours in the office and he got it. I think it does depend on the crime, how long ago it was and your length(steady) of stay.
