If we were getting Fernandes it would've been done and dusted by now and he'd be on the tour, not happening that one I don't think, maybe it was for if Pogba left.
Shame, as we need more from our midfield and when Pogba isn't on it, which is quite often, we lack a threat from our midfielders.

Why?
We've been linked with a bid for Pepe today. I won't believe any transfer speculation until the player is rocking the trombone on Twitter or whatever it is we do now when we've signed a player. But he'd be a good addition to the RW with Lukaku departing. We need a quality attacker and a quality midfielder.
In truth we need two quality midfielders, a RW and a CB still, and we won't be getting all of them at this point!

Because you seem to have pulled back on longstaff and fernandes only seemed to be thought of as a pogba replacement, but it looks like hes staying
Maybe you'll sign another midfielder but I doubt it - dont think ole is going to panic buy if his targets are unavailable
hopefully we'll get maguire and fernandes
i wouldnt mind Dani Olmo, looks a talented player who plays right wing
If Lukaku goes, which I’d now say is odds-on to happen, our priorities need to be a striker and, still, a centreback.
I’m wondering if Ole really will give the youngsters a chance to prove themselves in midfield and in the attacking roles this season.
I wouldn’t be gutted about us failing to add in midfield or on the wings if it meant some of Greenwood, Gomes, Chong, McT, Pereira, James and Garner being given proper runs in the side (rather than the odd sub appearance here and there).
We aren’t going to challenge for the title this season whatever kind of business we do, so why not look to build for the future?

He wasn't though... He'd been just as poor for arsenal in the first half of the season but people made excuses as he wanted out
He's been shiiite for 2 seasons, has no pace anymore... Will have no preseason
We did all this new season new approach new position nonsense with Rooney for his last few years at United... And he was never as bad as what Sanchez has been for us

If Tuanzebe makes the squad, then we don’t need one of our other CBs, so for me, one of Jones or Rojo (preferably the latter) goes either permanently, or if we can’t shift him, on loan. Both will have to go if we buy another CB.
If Darmian goes, that frees up one spot, but we also have to register Rashford this season for the first time.
We really will have to shift a CM if we want to buy a CM.
