I find it difficult to have any sympathy for Kent. Unfollowing his club is pretty stupid if it's a petulant thing.
He signed a lucrative extension to his contract so he can't have everything.

I guess the other side to it would be that he has probably now been sat down and told he has no future at Liverpool. He didn’t even make the squad at the weekend so it looks like it has come to a head for him there.
And Klopp has come out saying the loan spell was great for him, he came back a different player etc. But it seems he still isn’t wanted.
The new contract seems to have benefited Liverpool significantly in that they can now demand a good fee.
If he hadn’t signed the new deal he might already be a Gers player.
Who knows what assurances were given to him.
Either way it seems like he’s offski. Time will tell who wants to pay what for him. I don’t see them getting £8m for him.
£4m is a good price imo

I'd be amazed if Rangers paid anywhere near £4m for him, or would pay similar wages to what he's on at the mo.
Ultimately he has the choice of playing regular football for a club that he's enjoyed playing for that also gives him access to European football, albeit on lesser wages. Either that or some Championship club like Leeds.

I don't think £4m is way out of the question.
If we can get the reported £1.75m for Grezda that means that along with the Candeais money we will have brought in £2m in recent weeks.
That is a start! A quick whip round the old board room and we could nearly be there....
