Said his favourite moment off the park was one day he was in a room with one of our coaches who had no arms, a down syndrome man who does the tours and and another person who came to them from an employability programme from jail. Said it was a nice 'this is what celtic is' moment to end on

Worst punch line to a joke ever
Build up was promising as well......
I thought it was a wind up when I read it at first aswell
I think we're lucky to have Pete, he's took a lot of flak over the years, but he has stuck to the long term plan and has turned us into a profitable and sustainable club in very difficult financial conditions.
He's exactly what is needed behind the scenes even if as a fan sometimes we would prefer to see us push the boat out a bit more, it clear he's been trying to get us in a good position for what comes next, European league or what ever is in the works, off the pitch we've never been so healthy, disco lights n all.

Im assuming he's meaning he always gives the manager final say on transfers

2 year conveyor belt kinda figures, but it's not something i'm overly pleased with, i'd like us to keep our best players.
too much turnaround as well.
I think Silver was alluding to Rodgers saying he had basically no clue who Shved was after we had signed him
Is it just me or does everything you hear about BR since he's gone make you think you're glad he's gone?
he's a snide and he can eat schite for all i care

3 years would be better, if they are very good players it's gonna be very difficult to hold onto them much longer than that, especially if they are foreign with no ties to the club.

I would feel 100x more confident of winning the 10 under Rodgers
however early signs on the park this season from Lennons team have been pretty positive
its probably the peak year to get rid i suppose, i';d prefer 3 as you say SJB but if they sign 4 year deals then you are into last year territory.

Haud on...
Right, Lawwell has been amazing for Celtic in his tenure, BUT..he made an absolute cvnt of the Boyata, McGinn, Puccini and Rodgers situation.

Quite often once they prove themselves we offer an new extended improved contract with I suspect a backroom promise to be sold if a desirable team comes calling, which can lead to issue like with Dembele and Ntcham.

I agree to an extent, but It's funny to me that he gets slated for Boyata, had we sold and then failed to qualify he'd have been crucified.
McGinn, I still don't think he's better than what we have so I wasn't surprised we didn't push harder.
Most of these situations are all about hindsight, we have no idea if we'd have been better off.
Not sure what he did wrong regarding Rodgers though....
Did i not read that Lenny (with hindsight of course) is glad he never signed Christie for Hibs as it would have meant McGinn going to Celtic?

McGinn is better than Brown, Bitton, Kouassi and Henderson.
Rodgers wanted him - his main target - Lawwell failed to get him.
McGinn's doing well in England now and he's attracting interest from EPL clubs for crazy money.

For me if everyone is fit he's not in the first 11, remember at that stage Ntcham was looking a real top player and better or not he wasn't getting in ahead of brown, it's not that I don't rate him, I just understand why we didn't push the boat out for him.
I disagree mate, McGinn is better than Brown, and that's exactly who he'd replace in our starting XI.
