wouldnt say that. City had to alter their game plan when Sane went off and to be honest if Sane had stayed on I suspect the game would have been over in the first half.
A few players off the pace so wont read much into this. The noticeable ones were the Liverpool fullbacks and the Keeper.

positive for me is we played the back 6 I want to see.
gomez looked really fit. super.
taa really far off pace. worrying.
Robertson gave his all.
firmino was really at the required level so that's very positive.
origi tried his hardest, he really did but the issue is glaring. I really don't want to critique the lad too much.
we will improve over next 2 week's and get going but I reckon we've a bit to go to be up to the top level.
hopefully the games we have will enable us to get there in a winning fashion
Hope Salah has his boots on next week. 2nd half much better but 1 point last season, 1 pen today. I think Kieta should start next week.
City have problems at left back and centerhalf, They just arent the same team without Fernandinho. He makes u for so much slackness in defence.

they only played 4 games plus we started as we always do in early july. they certainly faded. they dominated that first half, we really struggled to find our players and ended up going long too much as a result.
once they dropped off that level we came into it, players like Henderson worked really hard to stick in and be able by the later stages make an impact (I say Henderson as he did work.like a dog but played like one first half for example)

strangely salah missed as many as sterling
sterling really is shockingly poor unless getting himself a tap in. even then he conspires at times to.miss.open goals.
today he made 2 or 3 handy chances to rub our noses right in it look really difficult.
Quite happy with the draw there with that performance.
Fairly even in the first half with City benefitting from a clumsy goal with more than just a hint of good fortune about it.
Dominated the second half and could have had 3 or 4 there with a bit more run of the ball.

You clearly watched a different game. We should have won that game in the 90. First half we were poor but dominated second half and should have won it but for bad luck. Post, bar, millimetre from going over last ditch clearance when going in etc.

We deserved to win the game. Truth be told I thought we would get embarrassed today, with a shorter rest and pre season than all the other clubs, playing an already great team whos spending power is pretty much limitless
Feel a lot happier after that. I have concerns about the fitness of our front three, but this side under Klopp just never give up.
