Agreed

He would be superb signing. Some much needed creativity

Central midfield is shocking. And still no right winger.

Defence is slightly better, and midfield worse, means a probable 6th place finish again, and even duller attacking football than last year.

Hopefully next summer can sort out the midfield/winger issue.

No way will it be as bad as last season, have a little faith in the Gomes and Greenwood as well.

One more midfielder and I’ll be happy and confident of top four.

Eriksen from the 2 mentioned... I'd rather have a DM though tbh

posted on 6/8/19

Desperately need a DM or similar. What are the realistic options though?

Matuidi for a year?
Go all out for Kante?!
Give Carrick a squad number?
Is Lee Cattermole still a free agent?

Won't be surprised if we would still add one more player on the last day....Just maybe..

Last season - United scored 2 more than Chelsea (3rd) and only 2 less than Spurs (4th). Too bad we leaked 15 more goals than both of those teams.

I still think we’ve got an excellent back 4 this season with players that play in their natural 'actual' positions, we are expected to concede far few than last season.

This season we will play a more attacking style of football under Ole and hopefully means more goals than last season.

With McGuire cb as late addition - we've got a big strong unit, excellent in the air in both defence and attack, and is good at carrying and passing the ball.

seeing the vid below - I believe this is the reason why United paid that much for McGuire...He will come good I'm sure

ERIKSEN

People must be trolling at this point, it's not a hard name to spell.

You could still sign a striker to replace lukaku

But yeah I think you're done

Still think that when I see people write McQuire or Maquire

Would love us to sign Eriksen. A quality player that we’re missing in midfield. Perfect for the pressing game.

If Spurs get Bruno, then it’s a possibility. But time is running out.

I know there is a want and need for a DM, but do people not look at our attacking options and worry?

It's not like we are just lacking a goalscorer, we can't create chances.

Imagine Ed being able to do a deal with Levy within 2/3 days

posted on 6/8/19

Spurs well Levy will want to sell Eriksen now to ensure they get money, could see this happening and United do need a ready made talent.

posted on 6/8/19

I don't think Levy will risk him going for free next summer, but I think he'd take a £20m hit by selling him abroad after our window closes rather than selling to us.

We took a month to sign AWB, and 5 weeks from that signing to wrap up Maguire, both of whom we had a free run at and dealing with 'smaller' clubs.

Ed getting a deal for Eriksen tied up with Levy before Thursday night?

That being said, would be a brilliant signing.

If levy was clever enough he’d buy Fernandes and then if there is a deal with Ed for Eriksen pull the plug on it last minute and sell him for a bit less to a foreign club

posted on 6/8/19

No idea why we aren't going for Fernandes if we're after a creative player liker that, could have had him signed weeks ago.

I don’t think we are after anyone else. I honestly believe our transfers are done regards to coming in, as much as it pains me to say it. If true like I said before that’s a very poor window

posted on 6/8/19

The signings we've made are good signings, but it would leave a feeling of being underwhelmed considering all the talk of a big clear out, and us being 'ruthless'.

More disappointed in how poor we've been in getting players out the club rather than signing them.

posted on 6/8/19

If lukaku goes and nobody comes in we are arguably weaker in both midfield and attack than last season. I’d say that’s a poor window if I’m honest. Obviously we have youngsters coming through however we can’t expect them to resolve our issues especially coming into an already disjointed team
I do agree we have been awful in getting rid of players. Not one single sale

Probably not. That said, Real Madrid have just bought an AM haven't they? Where does that leave him? I would expect that we would give him and improved contract and the club are showing more intent than Spurs in terms of wanting to challenge for the title (spending wise).

If we offered the right money then he might fancy the move. That said, it would take a big offer for Levy to accept.

Deals often take longer early in the window as both teams have longer to try to play hardball. The buying club may also stall so that they don't have to pay the players wages through the summer. However, negotiations are accelerated/condensed in the last few days and deals can still happen. I wouldn't be too surprised if we make another signing or two before the end of the window.
