Happy with this signing.

I'm not a great fan of David Luiz, but £8m is nuts. Great signing for you guys.

things really starting to look up, great signing!

Now let's get Countinho on loan and hoping maybe another signing.

Good value, he'll do you well.

Chelsea's best defenser. Will weaken them as well as improving us

I'm not that excited about it tbh,

I don't rate him, he's erratic.

He has probably made less brain farts than Maguire, Stones, Cahil and all the other media english golden boys in the last few years but because he is David LUIZ, Brazilian and at times a bit extravagant, he is deemed to be sloppy and reckless

You maybe right, but I don't see many Chelsea fans losing any sleep that he's leaving.

But he is sloppy and reckless...!

About £100m net spent so far, with Luiz probably being the only one of that lot most likely to start against Newcastle.

Difficult to gauge if honest, he is either magnificent or has a disaster, not major fck up's all the time but just seems "off" it?

Depends which player turns up week in, week out?

Luiz is 1.89m tall. Just under 6 foot 3. This would make him our 2nd tallest senior outfield player after Mavropanos.

He can jump, play anywhere from DM to CB, and isn't above a little bit of sh!thousery when needed.

He would have been the perfect signing if only we weren't bringing him in about 5 years too late.

Still not a bad way to spend £8m on deadline day though.

What's the reason he wanted to leave 3 months after signing a new contract with Chelsea?

Trust me a lot of us ain't crying fella. Some will be, but personally I'm quite relaxed about it. Good with the ball and not so good without it which is the most important thing as a defender.

He's not incredible but weve taken a cb off a top 4 rival and he's better than some of our other options. It's a great deal

£8m will be a fecking bargain if we indeed manage to wring out half as much mileage out of Luiz as we did with Cech.

As things stand, I wouldn't be surprised to see him walk straight into our Starting XI.
