Getting a 15% sell on fee is excellent business. Good luck to the lad

Just to finish on a sour note, the Celtic statement was poor imo, it's immaterial if he wanted to pursue the move or not, Celtic spent the full summer telling Arsenal if they gave us £25m he was theirs, there was no need for it
==========
"we did everything we could to keep him"
did you aye?
they wanted to cash in on him this year, i think thats obvious. He was open to leaving, so it suited both.
l don't believe for a second they made any effort to keep him
Agreed with all of that but the are entitled to state their position.
He's been agitating for the move since last summer. Celtic were very happy to keep the player regardless of the £25m but he wanted to go to Arsenal.
I have no problem with him going but the club are quite right to make the position clear.
it's probably as straightforward a transfer as you can get
we gave Arsenal a price, he was happy to go if we accepted a bid
if we didn't sell, he'd of stayed not a problem
Celtic were covering their backs a bit
i dont doubt they would have kept him mags, but as to "doing all we can" i'm not sure about that.
its done now, i wish him all the best.
I think Celtic should've had he tribute to him and let him go without all this trying to keep him nonsense
its private stuff that we don't need to hear
The fans have been awfully harsh on him from an my perspective and it's been pleasing to see.
Poor boy gives his all for the club and has had his name dragged through the mud and staggering levels of abuse online.
The second fake "Celtic man" in a row has really brought out the reptiles that don't understand to stay he would be throwing away his chance of making the most of his talent.
I would feel bad for him if i didn't enjoy watching you's turn on him
I can understand some fans being unhappy but the extend some have went to is OTT.
He'll be back in a Celtic jersey at some point.
Good luck to him and I have no doubt 25m will be a bargain.

In theory it's good business ... but he's not exactly going to an obvious "stepping stone" club (like Southampton), where we were pretty much guaranteed to see sell-ons triggered within a couple of years. Could see KT being at Arsenal for a very long time TBH ... then coming back to us for a final season or two.
Wish him aw the best though, obviously. And if he can spot any decent LB prospects in his time down South, he can maybe have a word with our scouts ... as they clearly can't.
So shall we start a sweep to see who will be the next to walk out on the Celtic Family?
Brendan was a toughie....but at least KT left a note I guess.....

I've been consistent on this for 12 months. Through a very close contact (not his daft cousin) I know exactly what happened last summer.
Despite having previously extended his deal significantly increased his wages, Celtic were prepared to improve it even further. KT didn't even want to discuss it.
So let's have no shilly shallying about this. The club are completely clear on this one and quite right to clarify
No problem with him going and I'd have done the same but it's 100% on him.

Deflect away from your fans abusing a young boy who has given his all for your club. Shameful and unsurprisingly you want to move onto another topic.
I'd rather this article was a tribute to KT, not a playground for the usual teet for tat arguing <moonface>
nobody is saying he didn't want to go, its pretty clear he did
the club however have been actively trying to get £25m for him all summer
so they haven't being doing everything they can to keep him

Oh do shut up. McGregor, Davis, Lafferty and others all absolutely deserted their club and you welcomed them back in desperation.
If you have good players thet will be wanted elsewhere. Just a fact.
As you don't have any good players you don't have that problem.
