Rodgers teams are always rubbish at defending.
It did occur to me that we'll be looking to play this season with a "we'll score more than you" attitude as opposed to a "keep it tight an nick a goal" one. It does seem to be Rodgers' philosophy and fits with the (often young) team we have. We have some creative midfielders now, two energetic full backs, choice in the wings and a proven goalscorer, so why not?
We could have some entertaining games this season. We could also regularly find ourselves frustrated at being done on the counter yet again.

I think he sorts the attack out first, the transitions, passing , scoring etc and then looks at the defence, problem is when the team starts banging in goals, other clubs come in for the attackers and then it all falls apart before he gets the defence sorted.
He's a brilliant tactical coach in my opinion.
Do you think you guys will play a narrow formation this season? It is the best way to fit all of your best midfielders, allows use of your expansive full backs and not like wingers are strong for your side. Rodgers used a variant back in Liverpool days with SAS up top.

Tielemans Ndidi Praet
Morrison
Vardy Ayoze
And I also think Barnes would work up front in a two. May see a better version of Kelechi as well as opposed to when he’s a lone striker.

Kunta Kante - There has been rumour around that we might play a diamond, although I believe we'll at least start the season going for a 4-3-3. Tielemans, Ndidi and Maddison looks potentially potent as the midfield 3, Vardy in the middle up front and then two of Perez, Albrighton, Barnes and Gray either side - who will both likely be subbed for fresh legs part way through.
But I'd also suspect that we won't stay like that all season and that Rodgers will mix it up for certain matches. We might even see the dreaded 3-at-the-back at some point...
Newcastle from 90s or even back to sixties(fairs cup) never won anything.
I for one think Rodgers is good fit for our club, and really think we can do well this season.
