Should see a replay in a bit after the ads

Mir turned the ball back from the back post for Grabban to score. Did ok when he came on, as did Costa who probably should have got a pen when fouled in the last minute. Leeds should have had another pen 5 mins earlier as well

Man City look pretty unstoppable, except against us of course. Many thought they had been ripped off by paying so much for Sterling but not many better players around nowadays

I wonder if they could bring in some sort of system where they get to instantly reflect on certain decisions and provide the ref with additional information ?

Yeah ball came off his harse and Grabban scuffed it over the line

Didn't see much of that City game but parts i did see seemed to be a VAR session

On a serious note, did the ref go and check the screen for the VAR decisions in the Man City game? Because I thought the whole point was to provide the ref with further support rather than provide him with another opinion?

No was video ref decisions. Unseeable offsides and encroachment which should have been seen by lino

wasn't paying close attention so not sure really but it was quite annoying

I think Rice encroached on the pen and he cleared the ball so i guess that makes sense to be retaken though it was a dreadful penalty.

Yes, in closer games these VAR decisions are going to be controversial. Instead of clear and obvious errors being cleared up we're getting forensic analysis of goals. Don't like it.

Offside rule needs changing, make it so that you are clear of the man rather than having a shoulder slightly ahead so the attacker gets the advantage.

Ball was on the deck for Jesus i think but his shoulder was like 10 cms ahead, a part of his body he was not in any way going to use, or any striker virtually ever for that matter denies the goal.

We brought in ‘daylight’ rule a few years ago and then decided against it. I still have no bloody idea why this wouldn’t have been a fair and perfect rule for players and officials alike

The one City goal was disallowed because the player’s arm was offside. Given that you can’t score with your arm seems a bit unfair.

What’s annoying to me as someone that goes to games is that you can only half celebrate a goal because you don’t know if it counts for a minute or so. And for televised games people sat on their sofa get to review the var when those at the game don’t.

Went to one of the cricket World Cup games and the fans see what the umpires see on the big screen, so at least you understand and can follow the decision. That doesn’t happen at football games.

Terrible situation for Bolton who haven’t been able to pay their players again this week and have only been able to complete today’s fixture against Coventry by sending out the youth team. They are 14/1 to win at home.

They are in the brink of going out of business, as are Bury

It will take the excitement out of goals eventually and that would be sad especially with those late equalisers/winners when we are gonna have to stop celebrating and wait a minute or two to see what the ref decides

Just noticed Reading are already behind and bottom of the table.
Why did we try to buy one of their players ?

Put Reading as the relegation team in the KoP game this year

I kind of assume that they intended to bring somebody in on the last day and it fell through so they kept Loader

Halifax taken the lead in the National League with a goal from Liam McAlinden.

Mark my words, strikers with no arms will be worth hundreds of millions in the next few years.

You can certainly imagine future football shirts with no arms and players having to learn to play with their arms inside the body of the shirt
