Dale 2 Rovers 1.
Whiteman/sadlier

Yes probably a wet ,windy and miserable day in prospect. Both our defence and attack still a work in progress. Id be very surprised if we get anything at all from this game. 2-0 to Rochdale.

Yes I think the best we can hope for is a postponment!

Forgot to put mine on last week 🤣
Going to say same as last Saturday a 3.1 victory, Sadlier first goal, unless the young Arsenal lad starts. Think he is going to be massive for us this season. The new player from rothersc um, winger Jon Taylor, could get a run out from the bench. More than likely be saved for cod eds on Tuesday night. Slowly but surely Big Dave is building his team, plenty of pace, as he once said, the only thing that scares big bad centre halfs is pace.
Still a striker to come in yet.

I'm going to go for a cheeky 2-1 win to the lads. Whiteman with the first goal. Sadlier if Whiteman not playing.

i am going for a more cheeker one rovers to win 3-2 may/sadlier

1-1 May

It will be tough, and I was going to say a defeat. I've woken-up more optimistic and will say we will sneak a 2-1 win. Ennis to score if he starts, otherwise Whiteman

3-2 Rovers Sadlier 2579

Rovers seem to be rather up against it and losing Baptiste has made it tougher. Sadlier does not seem to be seeing much of the ball as make-shift CF.

IFollow transmission is very poor with more breaks than I can count and then choppy repetitive coverage with distorted sound when it does come through.

I am sure that it has got worse since this iFollow lot took it over.

Rowe scores for Bristol City.

I make these comments in the absence of any commentary bar a few odd sentences, often repeated, from iFollow. The service is totally unfit for purpose.

A pleasing conclusion, but a pity that iFollow failed to enable us/me to hear anything of any consequence from the second half!

Don. Was a real get out of jail free card today. Rochdale stroked the ball around beautifully kind of how we did once upon a time. They didn't look like threatening us much and the goal was a cross which everyone missed and ended up in the net. Sadliers goal was a cracker, rose like a salmon. There is plenty of work to be done by Moore and the Copps substitution didn't go down well with the travelling fans especially as Gomes had another poor game. Blair looked sharp when he came on and Ennis again showed great energy. Unbeaten in 2 - positive.

Donaldo. I agree - worst iFollow transmission ever. However, you seemed to have worse reception than I did. Most of the second half sound was badly distorted, but I only had one total visual blackout and some "jumpy" bits. At least we get replays of goals now.
As far as the match - two games, two points, two soft goals, and two great strikes from Sadlier in added time - the season could become boring! I assume Lawlor was unsighted, otherwise he should have stopped the cross come shot.
I thought Copps was having a relatively poor game for him, but Gomes was far worse. If Copps had not missed that chance before he was substituted, would he have been left on? May continues to frustrate me. In many ways he is better than last season - especially coming back and helping to defend. He seems to beat his man more often, but then often makes a poor choice, sometimes passing when he should go for goal. However, maybe his relatively poor scoring percentage on shots is the reason why!
Just like last season we do not seem to know what to do with throw-ins - often ends in a long lob down the sideline straight to the opposition. I must admit Andrew did better with these.
Rochdale defence played well, especially blocking shots, but I suppose you could says did the Rovers. I think a draw was a fair result.
I thought Reece James had a better game, but Halliday a worse game than last week.
Overall, more positives than negatives.

Wonder if Taylor and Ennis will get full games on Tuesday? Are No26's days numbered?

Couldn't understand the reason why Copps went off when there was a few players far worse than him. The game was crying out to be changed at HT, yet nothing until they scored. Blair was a different player, Taylor looks like something we've been missing far a long time, a proper winger. Could be a blessing in disguise with Babtiste, as he's looked like a player whos just filling in for someone. Ennis has to start the next game. As does Blair and Taylor, for Gomes and May. May has had a chance to make the shirt his own, but like the first game, he had chances to score but hasn't taken then. Yesterday he probably the best two chances in open play, then passed instead of shooting. Lost count of how many times their No.3 just waltzed past him then stood out wide waiting for the ball, Gomes did exactly the same thing when they switched wings.
I think we played them at the right time, as I believe they will be a decent team once they've had a few weeks to learn this new system, as for us, toothless again. Sadlier rose like a salmon, great header, but, another game where we've lost 2pts because the board our not playing ball. We need a centre forward, even Stevie Wonder can see it .
Whiteman MOM, nobody came close, without him playing this team would fall apart. Big Dave, time to earn your money mate, pick the best players for the job.
We've been told we are talking to two players who have similar records as JM, offers have been agreed with the clubs, yet nothing. It's a bit of a laugh when you think the last player we actually payed a few for was, Whiteman.

I didn't see yesterday's game, but although Baptiste looked okay in the friendly against Huddersfield he got a terrible chasing against the Gills.Agreed - not a first choice CB. Sheaf looks comfortable there until Wright is fit. I also concur about May. Lovely bloke but the stats don't lie. Impact sub. Gomes probably deserves a few more games. Tons of talent but needs to make it count.

You all seem suprised about May.
He maybe a lovely chap but its been clear for sometime he is not a leauge 1 footballer

I know most of you have no interest in USA footie, but I do live in "Soccer City USA". After watching the Rovers, I Watched Spurs (my all time favorite team) vs. Villa. Then I watched the Portland Timbers win and get very near to a play-off berth.
Today was even better as I watched our women's team, the Thorns, beat North Carolina (currently top) to go top of the league. The sell-out crowd of 25,218 was a record for women's soccer on the USA. The English Lasses got so far this year in the World Cup,only losing to the USA. Please give more support to the women's side of the game.

I see Harry Kane did not get a loan with a Championship club and is available to those in League 1. Portsmouth are poised to swoop. The nomadic Sky Blues instead of focussing their finances on a ground continue to throw their money at players - how can this be allowed by the EFL - and they too are aiming to capture him. No mention of DRFC...which says a lot about where we sit in the pecking order. How have the Board let this happen?
