£75m now or nothing next summer
Daniel Levy, over to you
£75m would be top money for him.
Hoping this is not true, as I do like the player and I know without RM interest, he would sign for us. His only wanted to move to RM, failing that to Spain.
Don't see Marca reporting yet.
Also, talk of Vertonghen wanting a transfer now.
You won't make top 4 this season if you lose Eriksen. He is by far your most creative player despite all the strange whining about him. Lo Celso has more similarities with Lamela than Eriksen. He's got good qualities as an attacking midfielder, but I'd hardly call him a playmaker.
The alternative is the Argentinian u just signed ffs
Lo Celso is supposed to be the Eriksen replacement.
But what's upset Vertonghen FGS?

You don't read before making comments? I mentioned the argentinian but I am not convinced he is a playmaker? He looks more like a winger a Lamela type not Eriksen.

Being left out of the week-end game. Something must have happened. Possibly the contract offered was probably a joke!

At 32 years his days are clearly numbered. But he does deserve to be well paid for those remaining years - probably only one or two.
I can just imagine Levy playing short ball with him.
It will upset toby too!
I am pretty pi$$ed off, if Verts has asked for a transfer. He was ready for negotiations and signing a new contract and he is a very good pro who is loyal. Come on Levy sort this out and give Verts long contract.

Very little you can do at this stage. Lo Celso is a different player and I think he'll be very good. But he'll not be able to replicate Eriksen's skill set in the immediate future.
75 mill frees up funds for Dybala in January.
No one player is going to be able to come in and be as good as Eriksen is for us, just going to to have to live with that
Lo Celso is really good but he's not gonna just churn out assists and chances like Eriksen and it's not fair to expect him to do that
We need to share out his responsibilities in the same way we did with dembele

Not really sufficient to get him in half way into the season though is it? All the big games he'll have missed out on already.
Le Celso played a bit deeper at Betis, right? So he may partner Ndombele in the middle. You'd need a DM there though.
It's odd if Eriksen is leaving for 75 million when Tottenham were willing to accept 50-60m from United just a few days ago.
Real also have issues in that they need to sell before they buy so this may not even happen (they've been linked with Neymar recently too). Their issues aren't just about paying transfer fees but also wages.
Tottenham were willing to accept 50-60m from United just a few days ago.
Well they weren't were they.
I wouldn't take to much notice of all this nonsense. If Real really wanted Eriksen, they would have come in much earlier. Re Verts we will see how serious it is if he is left out of the City game.

Some links saying the price at 50m or as low as that.
I'm not saying it was fact. I doubt Real would offer 75m as they need to balance the books there.

We will get top 4 because we are comfortably the 3rd best team in the league, even without Eriksen.
Onto Eriksen, I did pre warn you all Levy would do this. If he goes , would mean once again our net spend would be 0, so the whole Dybala thing was never going to happen just like I said. Do everything to keep Eriksen 1 more season and sell next summer

Dybala was never going to happen. Nor was Coutinho. Totally against the club’s policy based on our track record.
I’m not too fussed about Eriksen. He’s given us 6(?) years. I can understand him wanting to move abroad, especially if RM were interested. We aren’t winning anything anytime soon - part of that he has to take some blame for. We will definitely miss him but at least he’s not going for free.
The Vertonghen one is a joke. Can’t imagine he’s asking for anything too crazy and he has been one of our top performers for a while now. Should’ve been captain imo. Also, remember we don’t really
Pay them the going rate as it is. I know our bonus structures make the wages better than people think but...
Lo Celso’s best position is behind the striker
