Totally agree mate. Hope Eriksen sees how much his contract is worth now and signs quick!
I think this is significant change from the club. Funny it comes after the week-end performance
I think Poch was too reliant on Lamela driving the team and play as play maker, but it didn't pane out that way.
Eriksen is the heart beat of the team and dictates the pace.
He is not irreplaceable but he is one of the best in Europe in that position so he is difficult to replace quickly.

Seems a fair salary for a very good player.
What does that mean for the rest of the squad though? Can't give everybody a 50% pay rise.
Lo Celso has been training this week following and he is expected to make the squad in the weekend.

£200k a week has apparently been on the table for a long time, he has been refusing to sign as keeping his options open. Now his options are narrowing he may be more inclined to sign.

Whatever route he takes, if he gives Spurs another season, it would be worth it I think
We should get him to sign the deal - insert a clause that if Real/Barca ever offer 50m he is free to go. Chances are we will get another season or two out f him and will then at least receive a nominal fee.

100% agree and I said this weeks ago. Get Eriksen to sign a contract so it protects us from losing him on a free, but add a clause in the contract that allows him to speak to any European club that offers say 45/50 mil next summer. If we lose him for a cut price next summer, then so be it. It’s certainly better than losing him on a free, but also means we got the whole summer to replace him. We have to keep Eriksen this season no matter what.
Perhaps they could back date his pay rise, least give him something to think about.
Agreed Don, it’s papers easy and logical to sort for us fans. Let’s hope the club and Christian are working on a resolution.

A sign on fee could work
I can't wait what will happen if Eriksen is paired up with Lo Celso.
He looks like an explosive player, dynamic like Robben was. Take the ball and attack type.
He has been training with the players, so I am hoping he'll get to make the bench surely?
If Eriksen puts in another good performance, it will be a like massive signal to RM.

If he turns down a 2 year extension on 200k a week with a clause hes a moron, can understand wanting a new challenge but you have to think if someone wants to sign him they'll come in for him, and they haven't all this summer.

Offering the big money to him now because Levy can see Eriksen slipping through his fingers for free.
If nobody comes in before the end of this window he will leave on a free and get mega wages next summer. 200k will be pash in the wind compared to the deals he will be offered.
