Yesterday we were selling him to Real Madrid for 75m.

At this point we just need to make a decision and move on.

Well we have...

Offering Eriksen a very nice pay increase to keep him but will sell if a sizeable fee is agreed to sell

That's not a decision though..

The club f@nny around too much.

You do have a feeling Lo Celso has been brought in to replace Eriksen and we are looking at others maybe like dybala to bring in, in January.

Vertonghen and Alderweireld though? We are faced with having foyth and Sanchez as our only 2 CBs and Foyth is supposed to be the new RB ?

Continued deterioration of the defence and missing creativity are 2 huge worries going forward.

He's not even gonna consider signing a new deal till September and even then I'd be shocked

One the worst gripes yes. The club is not quick enough to squash rumours nor is it quick enough to wrap up players because of endless haggling

As long as Ndombele and Lo Celso are quick out the blocks we will be fine

Ndombele looks a solid signing already. The pressure is on Lo Celso to look as good as Eriksen.. tough ask.

I am genuinely excited by these two. Shame Ndombele looks way out of fitness right now. Strange that I watched him last season, he never looked so out of breath then he did against Villa. Shows the pace of premiership

Lo Celso I am a bit confused about him. I thought he was like a winger cut in from the right and dribbling in and passing. But you said he's like a Modric. Which is sit in the midfield, link up with attack and dictate play?
If this is true, he could take over Eriksen role now.

He's an attacking central midfielder

Lo Celso's heatmap from last season.

Definitely more a forward player than sitting deep - I think we'll see a lot of him cutting in from the right and shooting.

If Madrid decide they want him he will be gone, if not I think he will sign a new deal. It will be a long 3 weeks.

Eh? Where the fack did you have him then?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw a clip of him, wide right and surrounded by three players, he evaded them and cut inside and played a dinking pass to the left back.

So that made me think he is a winger

But the montage I saw of him was awful and didn't really show in the context of the game, just brief glimpses of him running around, beating players and squaring the ball.

I am glad he isn't and would be very happy if he is an attacking central midfielder - a man of my own heart

Has he got the distribution and vision like Eriksen?

God almighty, I can't wait to see him play!! Poch has reiterated how good Lo Celso is - apparently.

Yes let's wait to see him play before debating what his best position is. I'm sure Poch knows what he's about

Maybe Levy has finally gotten the message that he needs to keep Eriksen in order to have a team that is competitive for top 4?
So rumor 200K/week offer has finally happened?
It may be too late since Juve has come knocking on Eriksen's door, according to reports!

From the grapevine, theboyhotspur

A source close to the club tells the Harry Hotspur Blog that the current offer from Levy & Co. is a 2-year deal, with a basic of £180,000 per week plus bonuses.

posted on 13/8/19

NBC reporting that Eriksen has turned "an" improved offer, but no way to know from the report whether Eriksen turned down the latest offer. Apparently financially, it is a very lucrative offer but it doesn't extend beyond this season?
