We'll get a great manager, hopefully that's Ole

How is it premature? All he is saying is that we will win again. Which we will. He hasn't put any time frame on it.

It's possible he's biased. I hope so anyway.

Makes it a bit pointless really. So will Arsenal imo but I'm not setting a timeline on it or anything.

Agreed, it is a bit pointless. But it isn't premature. It'd be premature if he had said that Ole would lead us to the title.

Okay, pointless than. Not premature. Pointless.
But the fact he mentions Ole, leads me to believe the OP is referencing the present or soonish.

Ole has to start somewhere.

And this is his first big opportunity to prove himself.

At this club, aside from the circus organisation. He has the financial resources to help him.

If we can build a good stable foundation, we could begin a healthy competitive trend that leads to some silverware. I don’t ever see us becoming a dominating club again as football in this country is at a very competitive level - for us anyway. But there’s no reason to believe that under Ole in time and patience that we can’t win the odd title.

Not saying he will be the next great manager. Far from it. But we could go places. Or it could fall apart from too much interference from the board.

But what’s most important now for us is creating and maintaining stability, whilst playing the football that we want to see.

Of course you'll win the league eventually if you spend 1 billion pounds on new players every season.

Utter schite at it.

The quote was made before the Chelsea game. It was for a segment in SkySports where Adam from FullTimeDevils was involved

I knew the name Gary Neville would attract the scousers 🤣

It’s more the last sentence which had me laughing, old quote or not.

After not strengthening this summer it might have some truth to it hopefully 🙏🏼

It depends on Pep, Klopp and Poch. Man United will have a big chance in winning the league when those three leave their clubs.

I think the OP has got a bit too excited after the first game of the season.

posted on 14/8/19

Yeah saw that. Seems strange that he thinks they'll win it before us.

Ermmm still just hoping for top 4 like the rest of United fans

If Liverpool don't beat Chelsea by 4 minimum, United are second favourites for the league.

If Klopp leaves Liverpool before Guardiola leaves City then I reckon we probably will win the title before Liverpool.

I'd caveat that by saying that's based on a hopeful assumption that we've turned a corner and have embarked on a long term & smarter rebuild.

I think that it really comes down to Klopp and how long he stays. If he can't beat City is there any chance that he might sack it off and move on? Or will he stick it out and keep going?

Also, can he keep the group of players together long enough to win a title? If they keep coming second to City despite playing as well as they did last season and racking up all those points, do some of the players get frustrated and look elsewhere for trophies?

I feel like the clock is against you at the moment and you are unlucky that City are so string right now.
