10 IAR means far more to the fans than it does the players but just because players may not care about it doesn't make it any less important to the fans

10 in a row is most important.

if he means we need CL to attract a better quality to do it, then it certainly helps.

but 10 absolutely takes priority, not that it should be a choice right enough.

posted on 15/8/19

That's not the point here..........if we fail to strengthen the team and continually fail to qualify for the CL(which is what the top players want) then the quality will rapidly decrease to the point we won't win any 10 in a row. The managerial appointment has already set us back.

Go and ask Edouard what he's rather want....1o in a row or to play at the highest level possible. You may say 'fck him then' but it's players like that we need to be the best

We're already at the stage where rangers have pretty much caught us up on the park. Appointing Lennon was the wrong move, he's got zero credentials to take us forward. Strengthening and qualifying for the CL would mean the league would take care of itself. Doing what we needed to do defensively the last 2 summers would have seen us through these ties. Absolutely criminal we lost on Tuesday to that Cluj team.

Said it previously, qualifying for the CL or at least the play off round would have made 10 much easier.

Now it's a right old battle unless we go out and spend another few million on quality additions......

i think lennon was a poor appointment, i also think we need to be in the champions league to bring in qualitiy players so from that perspective i agree.

however, with players sales etc we should still be able to get enough quality to win the league.

How much money have the board cost us btw, its sickening.

All Lennon had to do the other night was not play CM at left back and we'd all be raving about the start under him.

Fine lines but he has no one to blame but himself.

nnh

not one of us felt bad until tuesday night.

he got it well wrong and if he admitted it i'd think fine.

but he won't which tells me he thinks mcgregor is an option in there.

or that he is blind.

I think we are in real danger of losing this league if we don’t go out and improve this defence. In fwcking jig time too.

We’ve gone well past the wake up call point and anyone can see this so the actions of the manager and the board are crucial to understanding how seriously they are taking the other night.

I happen to think we’ll shore it up with at least one or two quality loan signings a la Benkovic if nothing else.

Three weeks with away trip to Ibrox, Europa qualifiers and games against the Hertz. Interesting times.

he changed it up at half time and we were brilliant first 20 minutes of the 2nd half, changed the style of play n we looked a good team again

then had about 5 chances to win the tie and never took any of them

Winning the league every season should be the priority.

celtic board can be summed up by dembeles departure imo.

everyone knew he was going to go, they accepted a bid at the last minute and had a day to go and get another striker in.

you would think they would have had a list of possible targets set up in case someone bid for our in demand striker, but no.

no such list existed.

its not asking the world for a little preperation ffs.

It is the priority but to stay ahead of the game we need to be doing well in Europe to keep our top players interested and to attract more top players. Outwith the fans professional football players do not give a fck about 10 in a row, that's the reality. Wake up man honestly.

At 2-1 we had Cluj by the balls, they were down and out and the ball just wouldn't fall for us to get the 3rd. We just could not do the very basics right at the back and for the 2nd year running a weak defence has cost us.

Yep. Totally agree with this. The two are intricately intertwined.

Bain should have saved that penalty anawl, he's a fckin shiitebag who shiites it to attempt to hold in any type of shot on his goal

Problem we face domestically is that rangers are on the up and have a proper goal to target and go and achieve. We just failed miserably to achieve our target and now we need to keep players motivated to again defend a league which means nothing really to the likes of Edouard and Ntcham....who were sold the carrot of CL football.

The club needs to rid itself of the attitude also.....go and watch back Jullien, Boli and Elhameds interviews when they signed with Celtic TV and Gerry McCulloch...even the boy Connell......Gerry McCulloch giving it 'I bet one of the main draws of coming here is the fact Champions League football is on offer' Fckin kidding ourselves on man. It's embarrassing.

Harsh reality is that the shiitest teams in Europe do not fear coming to play us anymore

Celtic could take massive steps to the Title in the next couple of weeks if they would spend cash on a first choice LB, back up RB and a keeper.

I don't see them doing that though, too obvious and makes too much sense.

Lennon is an @rselicker for peter lawwell, as we all expected.

like him or lump him, treatment of sinclair is poor.

we got that tierney money and its "need to move a couple more on"

wit?

a couple more from the 13 or so we have already moved on.

an absolute @rselicker man, must wake up everyday in utter disbelief that he managed to get this job again.

I just seen the Celtic TV commentator clip from last night.

"I wanna be Edouard" cringey bastirt.

Even Tom Commentator is better than that schite.

i don't know a single sane celtic fan that hasn't believed for the past 3 years that the biggest challenge to 10 in a row, was our own board.

building a hotel bit.

Yep, just grateful to be here and to be living where he wants to be, too scared to lose it so won;t question anything. Fact is he had zero credentials to take this team forward....our chief exec said he know's the city though, gen up

see tbh, the tactics one tuesday were mental, and at a level of crazy i would never have expected from lennon.

Morgan seems to be a star in his eyes so thats magic, another stokes, but without the goals and assists.

The last time Celtic failed to qualify for Europe at all was under Lennon
