How many shots were fired at your keeper on average? How many last ditch tackles did VVD make? De Gea hasn’t been the best keeper in world for the last 6 years because of clean sheets, our defence has been a shambles for a while.

Yes, that was already well known and never discounted or denied.
The only thing that has ever been discounted is that it is a meaningful game.
You can argue all you like about teams going out to win it.
But it has never been on any of the big clubs target lists for the season. Only a bonus trophy.
The CL is the biggest competive trophy in European club football. And that is what a lot of clubs want.
No one cares much for the Supercup. Just get over it.
