He also had neither the pace nor skill to go by a man. And didn’t score nearly enough goals.
I liked Candeais but he was limited.
Ojo has ace to burn and can pick his moments to put balls into the box. His goal and assist stats will easily be 2-3x Candeais from last season.

£250k wasn’t amazing business but he was 31 and in the last year of his contract. We only paid £700k for him and he didn’t want to stay to be a back up.
Candeais is hard working but basically a bit of a journey man player. We needed better quality and more end product. Ojo has already shown he has more to his game imo.
Good luck to Candeais though - he did a job for us👍

Giroud was top scorer in the competition last season with 11.
Candeias i'm still not sure if it was the right move or not, much will depend on how Barker gets on. If he's a better contributor then it was sensible imo.
