8-2 versus Arsenal at OT.

Absolutely bizarre atmosphere. Everybody was just laughing basically. Probably the greatest LAA ever.

Isn’t that when Wenger got sent to the stands but basically had nowhere to go and was effectively sat with the Utd fans ?

I was also there that day. mental day followed by a mental night out in Manc.

Remember the Utd fans singing you're even worse than Spurs or something along those lines

I have memories good and bad of great moments for my club, but one very personal moment.

It was the day after my father died, we played at Stamford Bridge and Carl Shutt scored a 1-0 winner for us in our title season, very very emotional day I will never forget.

That was a couple of seasons before I believe when United beat them 2-1 with a Diaby own-goal winner.

12th June 1988, Stuttgart, England 0 Republic of Ireland 1, Ray Houghton scored after 6 minutes in front of 30,000 Irish fans. When Lineker lobbed Bonner in the second half, we all exhaled simultaneously to send the ball wide of the post. Jack Charlton scratched his head in disbelief at the final whistle. Ray Houghton sang, 'Who put the ball in the English net? I did, I did!' and the English supporters set Stuttgart alight afterwards. After 3 months off cigarettes, I got through 10 in 84 minutes.

I was at the Camp Nou in 2012 when CFC drew 2-2 with Barca and got through to the CL final. They score twice, JT gets sent off then Ramires scores that cracking goal. Messi misses a pen then Torres goes on that run - I thought he was going to trip over the keeper - and scores! 3000 CFC fans go ballistic. What a game, what a night!

Strange how football can attach itself to the really important events in our lives.

Glad you have a happy memory to go with an incredibly difficult time

I was there when Bale scored his hat trick against inter Milan at the San Siro.

Couldn’t get tickets in the spurs end so had to sit with the home fans, tbf there were a number of spurs fans in there.

The first half was a disaster and we were 4-0 down with ten men. A few lads in front of us (obviously spurs fans) left at half time and missed it.
Was a shame to lose but that hat trick was amazing. If the game had gone on for five more minutes I reckon we’d have equalised.

That is awesome! What an experience

Was at Maine Road to witness the mighty whites beat Wolves in the 1973 FA Cup semi, remember nothing of the game, do remember trying to climb up some concrete (I think that held the flood light column) to get a better view.

3-0 against Spurs, City down to 10 men (Barton being Barton) then blitz it and win 3-4, silence at WHL apart from the City fans and the booing. Epic.

I was there too

I was also there when we were 3-0 up at HT vs Man Utd then went on to lose 5-3

Dean Richards with a goal on his debut IIRC.

I was at OT for two different rarities.

The first was the Rotor Volgorqrad game in 95 where the great Dane scored his header (I was right behind the goal for that one), The second was a Phil Neville goal against Brondby in 98.

It was indeed. I was in the stretford end right behind the goal so saw all 3 goals. We didn’t have Van der Sar in goal, otherwise he could have saved Arshavin’s goal

Ben Foster started that season didn't he. He messed up a bit for a Gareth Barry goal in the derby too if I recall.

Arsenal came to Molineux in the early 70s with their team that had won the double in the previous season and took a 1 goal half time lead. With the snow coming down Wolves scored 5 second half goals. The first three in the MOTD goal of the month competition all came from that game with Dave Wagstaffe’s equaliser the winner.

I was there when Shilton single-handedly kept Spurs (and Jimmy Greaves in particular) at bay for a much needed victory. The best goalkeeping display I can remember over 90 minutes. I was also there, standing close to the same place inside the White Hart Lane ground,10 months later in October 1968 to see Greavesie’s hat-trick and what is widely regarded as his best-ever goal.

England’s greatest ever striker.

I was at white Hart Lane for a Gary Birtles rare goal. We lost that one 3-1. Was at Highbury for Lee Sharpes hat-trick.

I was at Molineux on 'that Sunday' when Stephen Hunt's goal kept us in the Prem. Blackburn won the game 3-2 so everyone in the ground was partying at the final whistle. A day I will never forget.
I was also at Wembley in 1967 for the League cup final between QPR and West Brom. QPR won the game which pizzed off all my Baggy mates severely but as a Wolves fan pleased me no end
