Is there a bit more ‘spice’ to this fixture after Rowettgate?
Stoke is a 5hithole, it’s a 5hit ground. Says it all.
Why when I think of them do I think thugs and hoofball?
Failed to get the team news out v Scunny, due to technical problems, but hope to be back on the ball tomorrow.

My anecdotes about Stoke thuggery (being threatened as a 7 year old at the old Victoria ground) have been documented in previous threads......plus I have a 'plane to catch
And wasn't Rowett so last year?

If it was by another 7 year-old then acceptable for those days. But otherwise.........

Nope, a grown up male who took my scarf and used words I'd never even heard before
Come on Rams fans! We should be very grateful to the folks at Stoke City. They sent £2m down the line for us to strengthen our management. And to that nice oligarch at Chelsea. He sent us £4m. All that is not say we should take the three points too.
And to think! Stanley Mathews played for Stoke City.
And 'should take" ought to have read "should not take"
I think my first ever away game was at the Victoria Ground, Boxing Day 1969. Stoke is unquestionably a 5hithole of the first order in every respect. A suitable place for Paul Jewell’s finest hour as a Rams manager.
Morning from the green bury hotel Kirkwelpington. Must rank as one of England’s worst. Hoping for a dry day but my boots are still damp after yesterday’s soaking. 19 miles of the st Oswalds way completed. Another 78 miles to go.
We need to beat the harrys as revenge for view’ scarf. Live happily in the knowledge that this untermencsh is probably dead now.
Maarnin' all.
Don't worry Spart, I believe View has now replaced his old scarf with a half-and-half Derby / Forrest one
Happy (hopefully dry) walking today.
Morning' View and all Derby Fans. A win today could set up our season. COYR
A win today for view’s scarf.
Morning Derby fans!
I'm not optimistic about a win today. Our right back and left back positions could be exposed today - should Stoke switch from diamond formation to wingers. Head says 1-0 defeat, heart a 2-1 win.
Question on the back of yesterday's result and impact. Does anyone else see similarities between our season in PL and relegation and Huddersfield's? After a poor season in the PL they look ill equipped for the Championship with a (now sacked) manager who doesn't seem to have the squad on side. I have a feeling they're going to struggle this season given their long stretch of defeats and poor form.
View, just picking up on your point about full backs getting injured....
Its the same with both the teams I coach at youth and adult football. Full backs turning ankles etc
I've come to the conclusion that they are pretty much the only players who get up a full head of steam - either when attacking or tracking back.
So, tackles on them will be at pace and sliding from the side or behind rather front on block tackles.
In the old days, wingers worked harder on chasing balls into the corners but we don't have Ted McMinn, Gordon Hill type players any more and they all want it played to feet.
Watching the interview with PC on Rams TV, it is a competition between who is most boring? The manager or the interviewer. The interviewer wins hands down.
Also watching the various game videos, there is absolutely no need for the mostly boring, often stupid, and inane comments. For heaven's sake leave the viewer to simply watch the action without comment. Only provide information when necessary and not immediately obvious to the viewer. PLEASE. If not watching becomes unbearable.
I long for decent questions of the manager by Radio Derby or Rams TV. Instead, what you get is:”Philip, you must be pleased with the win”. It’s the same when they interview the players. I want to know from Lawrence what changes, if any, Cocu has tried to make to his positioning and his use of the ball, not whether he is happy or not with scoring two goals because I can guess the answer to that already. The questions are asinine.
Tough game today, Smoke On Stench is not usually a happy hunting ground for Derby, I'll be happy with a draw today.
I’m hoping Cocu has seen enough of Flojo’s lack of end product and goes with a diamond midfield and 2 up top. We have got to start bossing the midfield and hopefully Bielik is the player to drive that.
Yes! I would;f also like to see Josefzoon on the bench. Jason Knight should get a game too IMHO. He looks a great prospect. Wassall is bringing on some good youngsters.
