Well all I can say at this point is that the EFL have given Bury FC about 4 weeks to get their act together, then they should give Bolton the same courtesy, although circumstances are slightly different, and we have tried to play by EFL rules.
Playing these kids, who some were still at school last season, need to rest properly between games, and given more time to recoup before being almost forced to play the next game within a couple of days.
I understand the alternative, but is worth these kids' futures?

From her interview in the Times the current acting CEO of the EFL wants things wrapping up early next week.

Anyhow - Parky is quite rightly annoyed again:

"Asking young players to go again is not right. We sent an email to the EFL explaining our concerns about the welfare of the young players playing these games in quick succession. We were told we had to play the game."

“A combination of the people not getting the deal to buy the club over the line and the tangled web involved in that and us being made to play the game has hung me, the staff and all the players out to dry.

“Honestly, it is unacceptable. This is Bolton Wanderers Football Club – a fantastic club with great history and we need a bit of help. If it is not going to be sold we need to be able to bring some players in. We can’t have this type of scenario thrown at us.

“Yes, it’s a great learning curve for the young players. We don’t want to ruin them. We lost Liam Edwards and Dennis Politic and there are others hanging on by a thread. It is unacceptable. I am absolutely livid.

“The lads, to be fair, have absolutely ran themselves into the ground. Tranmere did what you expect and identified that we are a tiring young team, they played a physical, direct game and tried to bully us. That’s what you have got to do to get a result and I don’t blame them one bit.

“That was a tough test for the youngsters and right up to the first goal they were brilliant. You can see it so clearly from the touchline that their fatigue sets in and we’re having to play the senior players out of position to form a team.”
We go back to the Wycombe game and they asked could we get a team out? We did,”

“And now we’re three weeks later and in exactly the same situation.

“There are people out there saying they want to buy the club but they can’t get it over the line.

“Forget all the lawyers making loads of money out of this situation, the main players in the deal should go somewhere, sit down in a room, and don’t come out until it is sorted. It’s as simple as that.

“I’d imagine we are making some lawyers really, really rich. Sort this situation out.

“We are Bolton Wanderers, one of the founder members of the Football League, and we’ve had enough.

“It is just unacceptable.”

Catch 22 if we call games off and wait until we have a squad of loans and freebies they'll need time to gel and no doubt suffer burn out trying to catch up on the cancelled games at the end of the day players welfare should come first so what should we do its just a nightmare with no end in sight if the takeover drags until the next court hearing that could then be delayed a long time before anybody gets the final judgement even if takeover is completed next week how long before funds are made available to build a team if the takeover collapses how long have we got to get a new buyer over the line if there is one.
There doesn't appear to be any answers to anything at the moment unless the takeover happens very quickly and funds are released for team building.

Some one has to have the last word, otherwise there would be no debate, no difference of opinions, life would be too easy.

Nunsnmoses, You seem very angry. Just who are you leveling your comments at and why?

Posters on our page are generally accepting of other's comments. We may not agree with everything that's posted but we can always express our views in a conciliatory way.

We have enough problems without having a go at each other unless of course, you are not citing another poster.

You know what's missing this weekend?
We've not had word the admins are working through the weekend again to get the club deal over the line. I've not missed it somewhere have I

posted on 18/8/19

No but, hotel admin are expected to give a statement out later today to say, they are waiting on 3 interested parties, to see if they are ready to proceed.

posted on 18/8/19

Has Sharon making a surprise appearance on Tuesday night crossed your mind yet or are you managing to hold back on that until after the hotel admin speaks.

posted on 18/8/19

I stopped looking at these clocks a long time ago, as the alarm on said clock fails every time.
I guess nothing will happen on the club side until the hotel side is decided, one way or another.

You didn't expect anything less did you
Delays with the hotel likely means more delay with the club should we now look to the Kamanil Bros to work with FV

Split ownership would be a disaster. Won't work. The club will go bust bringing the hotel with it. Has to be one owner, one business.

posted on 19/8/19

It makes sense to keep it all under one company but reading between the lines of what has been done so far with the hotel its as if they have set it up to be split with the aim of achieving a higher price for the hotel alone.
This two sets of admins has been a disaster from the start.

Doncaster game called off, so more points deductions due, if we get that far.
Two buyers for the Hotel, so maybe first past the post in that scenario.
Could be another couple of weeks yet, which comes to Bassini's court case.
