Andy King will always be remembered as a great servant of our club, through our darkest times to the greatest time.

For this, and more-so the way he speaks about the club and how closely he holds us in his heart, he’s a Leicester legend.

I wish him every success at Rangers and hope he can kick start his career again which has stalled in the last 2 seasons.

Then I hope we see him back at our club in a coaching role of some sort.

The King era is dead, long live the King 👑

and I hope he plays a major roll in helping Rangers to win the league, just to wind Chris Sutton up

Think this is a great move him.Has been a great servant to our club and has won three different league titles.
Hope it works for him,and would expect to see him back here when he retires.
Also a really decent guy who always has time for fans.

It’s disappointing in a way because I don’t think we’re good enough to be too good for him yet. But, I appreciate I’m one of only a very small number of people who believes that.

I quite wanted him to go to Leuven where he could be a star, but that would likely kill his international career. Rangers as a club could well be a good fit for him, able to play at a decent level for a team that will boss most games, and for another noted central midfielder. My only concern about it is that they seem to already have a ton of central midfielders at the club already, so logistically things could be tough. He might find it easier playing in a different country’s league though.

Best of luck to him, I hope he has more luck with fitness than he did at Derby.

To be honest I’m bored of talking about Andy King. Every time he gets sent out on loan we have people posting some kind of verbal testimonial as if he’s Keith facking Weller.

Yeah he’s played God knows how many games for the club, but I’m not one of those people who hero worships someone who has just been here for ages. I hero worship people like Vardy - who have actually achieved something meaningful

He was an excellent championship player who has been here for donkeys years, good stuff. Never really PL standard as evidenced by the fact that he’s always been a back up option. Would be more than happy to finally see him sold.

To be fair, I did follow that up within the same paragraph.

Oh no I’m bookmarking that beauty Dunge....that’s amazing

That’s almost as good as the time True Blue made out that Pep Guardiola was deliberately copying Leicester’s style in order to win the league by 100 points

The thing about this statement is, there’s probably a part of you that actually believes it.....

The right time for him. if he performs up there he gets a contract and Rangers get a decent player for free.

Club legend but not sad to see him go.

Club legend

Is Joan in accounts a club legend as well? After all she’s been here for 30 years and she’s always kept a tidy balance sheet

I'd say he's, won 3 league titles and played over a 300 games for us. Also scored some important goals for us down the years.

Never been Premier League quality though and probably should of been moved on ages ago. He hasnt featured much for any of our many managers since being promoted.

He contributed very little to the PL title win, he almost picked up the medal by default. Matty Fryatt won a league title contributing way more than Andy King that season, are we gonna parachute him in for the unveiling of a statue for him?

He’s been here for ages, that’s why he has 3 league titles to his name - he contributed well to two of them. I do think our fans go way over the top about essentially a piece of furniture

He should do well in Scotland, it's like dropping down 3 Leagues.

I hope he does well, a True Professional and Leicester Legend.

I'm on the Dunge rather than BV (interesting name change) side on the Kingy situation. A great player for us at League 1 and Championship levels who contributed well also at Premiership level.

Bit harsh here BV.

Like Ulloa, he wasn’t our greatest player that season but he contributed in some key moment. If you remember he also scored the goal that was the catalyst to our great escape.

Yes he’s not Pele, but he’s a brilliant servant of our club and probably sits in that bracket of players too good for the championship but not good enough for the prem.

He was certainly good enough to take us out of league one and the championship, and for this and his attitude, comments and sheer professionalism you’ve got to love him.

Unless you’re you 😂

Yeah you see I just get bored with the whole ‘oh hit hes a great professional’ argument - it’s very....British. Vardy hasn’t always been the best professional, but he’s contributed 20 times what Andy King has. King has just been here longer and never complained - so what?

He’s no better than a host of players who left and never get talked about. He contributed very little to the PL winning season and far less than Ulloa did in the ‘14-‘15 season. Ulloas vital goals in the title winning season were again way more important than anything King did.

The club legend tag gets handed around far too easily - trust me, in 30 years people will be talking about Vardy, not Andy King

I'm 100% with Black Varr on this. Kingy was bang average at best. A good servant yes, but so was Conrad Logan.

I understand that you wouldn't class King as a legend. I'm baffled as to why you see it as daft that others do, given his length of service, nature and contributions over the years.

posted on 17/8/19

He's given almost his entire professional life to our club, I think you are being totally disrespectful BV.

He's seen as a legend because he's a proper pro, he doesn't complain, does everything asked of him and gives his all for Leicester City.

Maybe this is something you cannot identify with, as you are always disrespecting other people's opinions on here.

Kingy, legend.

You’re baffled? Why? I’ve just listed a whole host of reasons in my last 3 posts as to why I think it’s daft for others to put someone on such a high pedestal for mainly being here longer than anyone else.
