Dallas speaks

He was one of our best players since returning from injury at the end of last season. He’s underrated on here.

I’m not saying I think he is one of best players overall but love him in the squad for so many reasons.

Got to admit he's frustrated me at times but would never complain about his attitude

He's one of those that gets on with his job and I've often wondered why so many slag him off!..

But, as he says, I don't think there are many in the team/club that Bielsa hasn't got to, Bielsa is in a class off his own and it shows!..

I appreciate his honesty on his own ability.

I’ve never rated his ability as a winger as he struggles to go past people or deliver decent crosses, and he’s now playing out if position so will never shine v incumbent.

BUT, he’s never complained, filled in wherever and chipped in with a goal or two. I’d prefer better but right now glad he’s here, we’ll need him this season.

I would argue he's not out of position now, Jonty. Much better as a wingback, similar to Alioski. When they get forward from fullback, their attacking is better as they have more space than when they are a winger.

Been good so far in the first 2 games.

That’s how I see it best... re both Dallas and Alioski.

Alioski started his career as full back, Dallas is learning it. Done well for me so far.

I guess we have been spoiled over the years with running backs - Reaney, Cooper, Sterland, Dorigo, Ayling. I'm not sure what his best position is, but he is an honest pro who does well when and where we need him. He is dependable and consistent. A great asset to the club.

Recently Dallas has done better.
Over the years has disappointed.
Can’t question his professionalism.

Best, milky, you might be right that this is indeed his best position now but I think really dint think he’s that great defending, for me just an average utility player but in a small squad.

I value attitude highly which is why I’m glad he’s here at the moment.

Yeah his defending is suspect at times. Luckily Bielsa's football can hide that from wingbacks a bit, main job is to provide width

Similar to Alioski really. Good squad players to have

There's nearly a 25 year gap between Ayling and Dorigo and we've an awful lot of 'meh' since then.

I see Dalas as a championship current James Milner.. does a job, not the most talented .. but attitude and work rate are so good it carries him a bit ..

That said, Milner had talent, not saying he doesn’t, you know what I mean 😂

Dallas as a Championship Milner - Kinel!

I always thought Dallas had one foot out the door but he’s proven to be a very valuable player under Bielsa.

And he seems like a decent bloke, very grounded.
