VAR facked us over in the CL final. never in a million years should that have been handball by sissoko ffs. ball belted at him from a yard away and hits the upper most part of his arm next to his chest. facking joke. VAR is ok, the rules are just a joke.

Even if they'd checked it they most likely would have gone with the initial ref's decision IMO.

Why exactly?
VAR awarded Schalke a pen in the previous round because the ref missed the ball skimming Otamendi's arm.
If I remember the Lorente one correctly it was checked with var but the angle used wasn’t the one directly behind the goal so you couldn’t reallly see. He admitted it after the game tho anyway

There was a camera behind the goal that picked it up but they chose not to show that angle to the referee.
That was the one. Fecking inept π

How many times do you need to be to
The law covering handball has just been changed. It was originally if the handball occurred and was deliberate or hands and arms were in an unnatural position then a penalty would be awarded.
The law NOW is that if a handball incident (by attacker) leads to a goal then VAR is used and the goal will be disallowed.

It's an absolute sh!show.
In fact it's already worse than I thought it would be. Sigh.
It is a feckin nonsense, can't even enjoy a goal anymore and again tonight we scored a blinder and then had to wait 90 seconds to see if it was ok to celebrate because somebodies elbow may have been slightly ahead of another fellas ass cheek!!!!
