Justice with VAR

It should help the refs get more decisions right its not brought in to re ref the game just assist. Liverpool had luck go for and against them like every other tram as it turns out probably more against than for recent seasons but yeah the way all the bitters act you’d think we’d be relegated with var.

Shut up ffs.

Wait till we get one against us in a big game that Scott’s us points and the world will be against us.

That was funny but why is everyone annoyed. Hand ball rules is now clear. Hmit hit his hand VAR picked it up and the ref using VAR applied the lawa of the game.

What is even more laughable is pep again mentioning liverpool in his interview when it has nothing to do with him. Obsessed or what.

I'm not saying it will help us. I'm just being sarcastic in response to them saying we will struggle. I'm just trying to tell them to shut up.

I didn't see the game, but according to the Guardian VAR did not come out well. It took far to long for the ruled out goal, and missed a penalty incident.
We won't be able to cheer when a goal is scored until after VAR in the future.

I kind of get this but the goal was correctly ruled out. I dunno, you do kind of hesitate at goals now (or I do sometimes) and that spontaneous celebration is a big part of football. At the same time you want the right decision and they are and it's hard not to agree with that.

Stupid rule if true that if it accidently hit a Spurs arm instead it'snot a penalty apparently. Or if you score I think. Don't know anymore!

It's going to be a bit mad robbing for at least this season until it beds in.

I hope we get goals given that have been incorrectly not given in real time, the fume will be hilarioius.

Guardiola also mentioned one that should have gone in your favour in the super cup too.

posted on 17/8/19

It will both favour and deny teams for a while melton, right now city seem to be impacted by it more then others.

I think when it should be applied is proving challenging, today was a good example of that and pep is right to be a bit annoyed on it.

Like anything changing a long established way of being it will take time and will prove frustrating.

I'm still not sure where I stand on it to be honest.

posted on 17/8/19

Yeah it will take a while but then so did the not active offside rule and the pass back rule. The change in pass back was quality.

They need to make it quicker and I'm not a huge fan of this new handball rule even though I get why they've done it.

posted on 17/8/19

I think atleast in this case the handball laws clear and easily cleared up by var, players moaning at ref asking why etc like jesus was today doesnt help with the speed of things. Like players still arguing its over the line vs goal line technology.

I think it makes sense too the new law, letting it stand after that bit of fortune accidental or not is wrong. Defending side get away with it being accidental sometimes so why dont attackers now is the issue people have i assume ? Idk not paid much attention to that, but even if they do its the new rules and was refereed correctly. The pen too lamela got away with that but var is there to assist the ref and amend clear and obvious errors not re ref the entire game on every incident.

Sorry I only read the bbc comment from.him which at the time did not mention the mane incident.

Yeah I don’t have any issues with it. The last minute goal today, by the law now should have been disallowed (I don’t agree with the law but that’s a different issue!).

I did think the Rodri one in the first half was a pretty clear penalty though, I was surprised VAR didn’t pick that up. It will be interesting to see over the course of the season how it goes.

I think I mentioned in another thread. We use to have inconsistency of decisions made by refs in real time (which we still do) but refs are now also making these inconsistent decisions using VAR. Basically comes down to human judgement again for some decisions.

Win some lose some. You just hope u win more than lose.
