In my opinion Forshaw should 100% be playing based on current form. He's playing his best football for us since being here. He's getting himself in to excellent attacking positions, finding space in the box and almost bagging himself a couple of goals yesterday. He's looked more like scoring than Klich so far and should have had about three goals so far this season. As soon as he gets himself that first goal I'm sure the confidence will shoot up and he could very well bag himself 7 or 8 this season with the chances he's getting. That's a very good return for a midfielder not known for his scoring prowess.
Having said that, unfortunately for Forshaw, if Costa is to start getting regular game time than I believe it would be him to make way. Pablo and Klich in CM. However, so far I am very pleased with how he's started the season and I think he can get even better. I'm delighted with how the squad is developing.
I understand what you are saying but he brings a lot to the side with his energy and experience.
I think the key is to take a horses for courses approach and there will be games where he may change it around and we see the sort of options you have in mind.
Fitness is massive for all professional footballers and he seems to have had his fair share of injuries but is benefiting from a full uninterrupted pre-season and we are now seeing what he can bring. I agree a goal or two would be good and hopefully that will come.
10 goals in four games tells its own story. With Costa and Nikita () on the sidelines I suspect we are far from our best 11. However, with the team performing well and the current 11 showing improvement, why bring on change for change sake?
He should he is one of the best performers atm.
We are top of the league with Forshaw in the team - logic says he stays in the team surely?
"Forshaw Is Playing Well But"
There are some that will no doubt try to bring him and others down!..
Ain't we happy we have someone with something in his locker picking the team?..
What I find funny about this is that we play four at the back and Phillips sits in front of them.
Leaving 5 other outfield players, four of which you admit have goals in them but you are saying it’s not enough.
You literally have no idea what you are talking about
Loving the flowing possession based football we are playing and Forshaw was instrumental in a lot of what we did yesterday. I get a bit frustrated watching us get to the byeline and then turning back towards our own goal. It appears, as others have said, that the instruction is to pass to a player rather than just crossing into the box, but we appear a little shot shy at times. We were well in control as the stats show, but I thought with their antics that we were playing Wigan’s rugby team at times. Did not allow ourselves to be bullied against a cynical team which also bodes well, as we came unstuck at times against more physical teams last season.

I was wondering when someone was going to point
this out, I was going to but Matty beat me to it!
The balance of the team is fine just now and no
need for adjustment yet...
Shoot me down in flames if you like but Forshaw could do KP's job and Kalvin, when played a bit further forward has goals in him, swap them around.

Can see your good point...I think it's something they
might do if need be at sometime, at the moment I
would leave alone...
Completely understand what you are saying Promotion. Bamford misses those chances yesterday that Forshaw did and he is vilified. For all Forshaws pretty football he is unlikely to score goals or make assists. Without goalscoring defenders we are reliant on a front 4 for goals. I can see both sides to this.
Amazingly Forshaw scored 11 in 82 for Brentford (apparently took some penalties) but since then he has 3 in 150 games for Wigan/boro/Leeds - and precisely 0 of those came in a Leeds shirt.
He had more attempts on goal than most and was unlucky not to score, would also leave it as it is.

So when the Dam bursts fluids will flow!..
No reason why in this set up he cant score, like Bamford, maybe he gets one he'll get loads!..
But, some around here hung me for defending a "top goal scorer" for Leeds saying he didn't bring anything else to the team, now we have someone bringing something different and he getting slayed!..
Like I've said, with this club its crappigal what any player brings, someone will/and do bring them down!..

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasnt unlucky. He's just garbage in front of goal.
Prior to yesterday and this season hes played deeper so most of his chances have been on the edge of the box - he either places them a yard or so wide or they go straight at the keeper. That header yesterday was a sitter for any footballer and had it not fallen to Bamford it could have cost us 2 points.
Mattyp I said Bamford Klich and Pablo would score goals, not enough to carry the non goal scoring players. I said Harrison would have to improve his finishing from last season when it was poor.
We simply don’t have enough goal scorers in this 11
Change is needed, yes I understand why Bielsa is not changing the 11
We have so much on the bench to improve on this 11 in my opinion.
I honestly hope Forshaw bags 10 goals and 10 assists.
It’s a bit like asking Pablo to play the holding midfield role.
Elsbels he wasn’t unlucky not to score.
He’s not a finisher.
Put players there that can score not a holding midfielder that may only occasionally score.
Pro, you do come out with some toss at times!..
It puts so much pressure on the 2 or 3 regular goal scorers if others can’t get their share.
Funny, we had a goal scorer that hit 20+ once upon a time, and hardly any goals from anywhere else!..
The players on the pitch have to chip in, Forshaw was unlucky yesterday with the post, sorry Kebab, that header was unfortunate, things happen so fast you have to get it right, he did, its just one off those that even Beckford might have sent against the post!..
Its funny sitting here and saying what should have been after a game, but, that's life, its always easier picking, ask a Vulture, its the difference between life and death for them!..
Pablo 27 in 117 appearances
Klich 10 in 51
KP 10 in 131
Harrison 5 in 40
Forshaw 0 in 42
That’s about 52 goals in 381 appearances combined.
Surely that highlights the problem.
It’s actually scary the lack of goals in the midfield.
Based on those statistics those 5 combined will give you 0.68 goals a game. Simply not good enough.
Or are we expecting an amazing upturn of goals from KP, Forshaw and Harrison ?
I like an optimist.
So, the teams that get promoted, search for their stats and see if they're much better than ours!..
I'll say some might be but not all!..
Than say how many their strikers got!..
I'd say a lot more than their midfield's!..
Why cant you ever look on the bright side of life, is it because your scared it might show you as the negative you obviously are?..
Germany it makes a big difference if you play 2 strikers and they bang the goals in.
That’s another option
We have many options,as I said before I’m not sure the best one. Only time will tell.
Also I think we’ll concede plenty meaning we have to score more than plenty.
Germany I am looking on the bright side, I’m actually saying we can improve our goal output.
We can get better, I’m sure of that.
Surely that’s positive?
