Its Bamford 3-3 Huddersfield for goal scored unfortunately.......

On the brighter side

Berardi has scored as many goals this season as Huddersfield have accumulated points

Its not happened yet but I called that when they came down. Looks possible as they seem to lack goals. Seem a half decent side until they get forward.

Probably when there is 3 games left and you have one foot in the Premier league.. like this season 😂

At least have a dig when there is good reason to...i remember a team called Norwich who lost 2 of the first 3 last season and Won the league

We have acted quickly and will soon turn the corner

Personally think Leeds will go up as champions.

This thread is pretty pathetic though. Grow up OP.

Fun wind up for you who like to come here (Leeds Board) and give it large when you were doing well.

Thanks for coming back for the fun, and the rating.

Champers, I agree
Let’s have a proper debate about formations, players etc.

I agree with Champers. This is too early to make things like this anyway.

Huddersfield is interesting. I'd have felt a lot more nervous about them had they sacked Siewart at the end of last season and given a new manager the whole summer. That being said, they still have some good players, and there's plenty of time to turn things around for them.

I think the thread was purely designed to get the replies it has.

Personally, and after years of experience, i'm taking nothing for granted. I still see Hudders as a potential threat in the league - get the right manager (Hughton linked yesterday I believe?) and you'll pick up points. Thought it was bizarre that Mooy went out on loan - sell yes, but loan?

I think you'll find I've always come to your board with honest opinions and a non-inflammatory approach, but whatever.

Couldn't agree more regards Mooy. The lad was desperate to stay in the top flight I think and as nobody met the £20M valuation we had of him, it left us in an awkward situation. You could see his heart wasn't in it so trying to keep him was a no-no, but we also ran the risk of losing him for nothing next summer. So we agreed to send him on loan and he agreed a new 3 year deal so that should he shine on loan, we can still recoup our investment on him further down the line, or he doesn't but he's still our asset.

Hughton would be my choice, but realistically I would think he's far bigger fish to fry than us. If not him I'd maybe go for the Cowley bros at Lincoln who've done an excellent job, or someone a bit leftfield with good connections in the game like van Bronckhorst or Petrescu (though I doubt he'd leave a Champions League competitor, even if it is only Cluj).

You know we'll end up giving it to Hudson though

Trouble is transfer fees are so inflated now, that bang average are valued at £20m+ …… I rate Mooy a lot, but not sure £20m - but saying that if McBurnie can command that figure then Mooy surely would?

Hughton is a great manager in my view. You may well be right about his ambitions and "bigger fish" …. maybe he's waiting until after this season, in case MB moves on - then he'd have a chance with us ….

Houghton is an enigma for me.

Seems to have done well wherever he has been and seems an astute manager.

Yet he has been sacked from every job he has had.

Why?

posted on 20/8/19

Hughton gets sacked because the boards at those clubs think they can do better. Invariably mid-prem clubs at best, I don't think he gets the credit he deserves - or the opportunity at a top, top club. Granted he managed Newcastle, but then plenty have tried and ended up sacked or walking.

Seems very astute to me as well. I'd like to see him given a chance at a club competing for honours. Not sure he'd get a top 6 side as yet, but maybe an Everton or similar?

posted on 20/8/19

Hudds are a threat if they get it right. They have had an owner who relegated them from the prem and p,Ayers who had awful attitudes.

I think they will turn it around.

As for Highton, he is a manager who bosses the Championship and is average in the Prem. Which isn't a bad thing, but clubs want progress beyond consolidation.

posted on 20/8/19

I think he's deemed average in the prem as he's invariably managed teams with comparatively limited squads/finance.

I'm not sure many of the top 6 managers would fair much better if given the resources he had at either Norwich, Birmingham or Brighton for that matter.
