Was sat just thinking Lingard, James and Mctominay need replacing but then I looked at the bench and it's like well who do you replace them with? Greenwood is a kid, Mata offers nothing and Andreas is tidy but not much else. Our squad is definitely the weakest in the top 6, we would be stupid to let Sanchez go.
Thought James did okay in his debut and a game that doesn't suit him.
Lingard has been poor both games, we are really missing a link between midfield and attack, and lack creativity.
However we should have won today, we were the better team but for 10 minutes of the game.

It's not too bad, early in the season - need to build up some rhythm.
Some things are clear though, Lingard is just too inconsistent. Pogba is poor at pens and Rashford needs to stop trying to be ronaldo.
Four points from two tough games is good. But should have been six really.
Frustrating. We got a decent-ish run of games coming up so hope we can rack up the points.

Really not sure what Lingard offers to high effect.
Mctominay was horrendous second half. Couldn't complete the most basic of passes.

any united fan who is surprised by this needs their head checked. they are bang average in every sense.
all in all I thought we were ok, that is as good as it is going to get for us I am afraid.

Opposite of us. We had a poor first half and improved second.
I was impressed with AWB; though he looked good for you guys. James needs to bulk up though, as he spends most of his time on the floor.

He's more direct, he moves and he attempts things Mata will not.
Mata dies have his uses, he's have been better int he first half today when we had possession.
What I would have liked to have seen Ole do later in the 2nd half was to get Pogba into the game by releasing him a bit more. I'd have brought on Tuanzebe for Lingard, let him anchor midfield and help cover Shaw when Traore was causing problem and had McTominay working B2B and Pogba in his favoured LCM position.
We saw on the once real occasion that he was able to venture into threatening areas he won a penalty.
I completely understand why he wants Pogba getting on the ball deeper, but it would be good to see him adapt that midfield formation later in games when we need something extra in the final third.
Overall I was quite happy. We should have won the game but conceded a superb goal and we finished the match quite strongly. Maguire & AWB make us look very solid and assured at the back.

The only thing sanchez attempts is turning into the defender and giving the ball away... He's abysmal
Poor second half which is why it was frustrating to wait until the 88th minute to change it up.

To be fair to Shaw, Traore does that to a lot of defenders. He is awesome at bulldozing his way down the touchline.

Sanchez is worse than any of the players starting. Out of all the players we have had while he has been here, they've had more better games than him. He is done.
Mata as a ten is the only place we should use him.
James is raw and would be better off coming off the bench later on in games.
Shaw has regressed from last season but also lacks protection.
If we need to release Pogba later on in games, we need players who know how to protect the back four come on. The I'd risk Fred or Pereira there. Matic has to be used in Cup games and EL as the pace of the PL is too much for him now.
We need to sign some players in the next window and should be working towards that. It will at least give them time to bed in for the next season if they don't hit the ground running.
So far it’s been largely as expected. Better at the back, some positive signs going forward and generally a better brand of football.
Some big weaknesses such as our central midfield, but let’s hope McT in particular develops this year and next.
