This is different to what you're likely referring to, usually the optimism creeps in around Decemeber (we used to be near top, just won our CL group, into the League Cup Semi) then by Feb we'd be fourth/five, out of the CL and League Cup
The current optimism for the most part isn't based on much expectation of success, more huge surprise and relief that the "45m" was nonsense and we instead had a decent summer.

What was Ederson doing for the first goal, he has been taking positioning lessons from Kyle Walker.
The second goal, they have let a 5ft 8 bloke score a header at the near post - where is the marking?

What I don't understand is, just why did this post upset a 'pool fan so much? Strange people on here lately.
Back to point,the interview with JK was very interesting. I think he said there have been 51 new appointments on the footballing side alone. It's taken awhile,but the owners seem to be getting serious now,and his reference about Arsenal's 'aura' is correct. Whatever other fans think,the actual players always want to come here,which is good. Wether we can afford them or not is another matter! Or,in Wengers days, he would say 'no' without a stated reason quite often. I don't miss that part of him. The future is looking bright. Slow and steady,take our time,just as Liverpool have done in fact.
