Who finishes top 6 and why?

4 - United. Given the additions in defence, the fact we have kept Pogba and the high energy press seen so far, I think we can secure top 4, although a significant injury to any key player could be the difference between top 4 and 5th or lower.

5 - Arsenal - Goals galore in Aunameyang and Lacazetter, but they miss out on top 4 for me because as good as their offensive additions are, its the other end of the pitch they struggle. Tierney may help but I'm not sure he is enough to see them get top 4.

6 - For me it's a toss up between Chelsea, Everton, Leicester and Wolves.

Not sure about Spurs. Seen nothing from the to suggest that they’ll be above Liverpool. This a side that lost 13 PL games last year.

I don’t think Liverpool will be as close to City this year.

City - Best team in the country. Not much explanation needed.

Liverpool - Second best team in the country as proven by last season. Got off to a great start again.

Spurs - Pretty much shown they're the best of the rest and with new additions and a more fit team I expect them to push the 2 above closer.

Arsenal - Good start from them. Good additions and a more settled manager. Just missed out on top 4 to Spurs last season.

Man United - Bit of a toss up for 4th between them and Arsenal. Think the result yesterday swings it in Arsenal's favour slightly, for me.

Chelsea - Lost their best player and Lampard looks like he'll need time to get them more consistent given their results so far. Based on their quality and performances, I think they'll edge out the rest. Any other predicted team for that 6th spot from those below would just seem a little on the outlandish side so I'm playing safe.

1. City. Best squad by a mile, which they improved.
2. Liverpool. Assuming they keep the front 3 fit for the majority of the season they'll go close again.
3. Spurs. Third best squad, some holes but improved overall.
4. United. Dangerous on the break and more solid at the back now.
5. Arsenal. Not convinced Luiz is an improvement, will still leak goals.
6. Everton. ave done good business, even if they did blow their load on Iwobi.

City - Probably the best team since the prems inception. The depth to the squad is frankly ridiculous.

Liverpool - I think they will struggle to find the same level of consistency to run City to the wire this time around. However they remain very hard to beat and are the best of the rest.

Spurs - 3rd if they can keep Eriksen. Could still lose a player or two which could impact their season. Good manager though.

Arsenal - I like their manager and have brought in quality into their midfield and forward positions. Are finally moving in the right direction.

Man Utd. - Like Arsenal have improved. Question marks remain over their manager and the depth and quality of their midfield. Have players in the dressing room who have a history of downing tools when faced with adversity.

Chelsea - Rookie manager at the helm. Giroud and Abraham aren't good enough compared to the teams I fancy to finish above them. Play nice football going forward, but tactics employed and team selection thus far have been somewhat niave.

1. Liverpool - A force of nature, who only lost that one game last season, and technically gave the title away due to a brief run of draws. I still expect City to run them close.

2. City - Yet another force of nature, but too one-dimensional to avoid the odd bad day at the office.

3. Arsenal - Decent at home, and only need an extra couple of jammy wins or draws on the road to make a strong claim for Top 4. Might still end up 6th should they lose either striker to a long-term layoff, since there's practically no goals forthcoming from midfield.

4. Tottenham - Capable of stringing one or two convincing runs of games together, but still too reliant on a core group of starters.

5. United - See Tottenham above.

Chelsea - Would be madness to try and predict where this lot will finish. They might win the title or finish 10th, going by the past few years.

City are still the best side in the league, Liverpool didn’t buy which was a massive mistake imo. Spurs now arguably have a better side than them and a better bench. Utds new playing style will see them through if our fitness holds up. Maguire and Wan Bissaka have made us solid and Martial looks rejuvenated. We drew at home to Chelsea last season and lost to Wolves away, so we’ve already collected 3 extra points. Chelsea can PLAY it’s just a matter of time until things click in imo. It’s not a fluke that they played Liverpool off the park for an entire half of football. Arsenal will leak as many goals as they did under Wenger.
